People see it as a prequel due to mostly only knowing the original 98 show. However even those fans should have noticed “no one is mentioning the july event” and some of the characters were acting different as if they were “younger and more naive”. I was very happy and surprised at how well they pulled off the big reveal in the “wham episode” having the pieces fall into place in episode 12.

I just loved Trigun Stamped. I know the original was good. But this changed everything. It was definitely the prequel/prologue or whatever that happened before Vash's memory loss. I watched the last two episodes just expecting July to blow up. Although I am a bit confused about whether knives is alive or dead, everything perfectly added up in the end.

Agreed I feel like almost everything in the reboot was better than the original except for the actual character of Vash. In the OG much like the new version he's a pacifist but he would still have bad ass moments and this one he might have had one bad ass moment, and that was probably in the very first episode with the missiles coming from the sky.

I think he will be more like 98 show Vash in season 2 since he only started to be like that in episode 12. Having season 1 be more prologue/prequel was a smart move, and I like how they fleshed out a lot of the other characters.

Season one was like a prequel fused with some back story material that was shown later in the series as well as characters that don’t get introduced until later but give the audience and early taste of the characters earlier than expected.

ik sucks bc so many anime have waassy too many seasons and fillers. But at the same time rhen I would dislike it like those shows that exist. So maybe it is within the right span of anime seasons. 2-3 seasons is usually good imo.

Before episode 12 I thought that there wasn’t enough material for a second season, and honestly didn’t care for one, since season 1 felt a bit rushed. But ep 12 changed everything, now I think a second season will be interesting, although I don’t know how it’s gonna play out now that millions is dead (not for sure though, who knows).

I’m going to be honest, the character designs for Stampede (ESPECIALLY Vash’s) are way better than the original. I think people didn’t want to give it a chance because they’re too nostalgic for the original

My favorite example for CGI can look good for anime is Trigun Stamepede n even DBS Superhero. Both animes works thxs to characters looking expressive and life like. As long as anime studios strive to reach that medium for their CGI animes, then honestly we might be in a good treat. Hell look at Mappa with Attack on Titan n Chainsaw. While yes it would be cool to have both animes be 2d animated, honestly I think the way they use CGI kinda compliments the dark n depressing world for both shows while still keeping it hype with the fights. I still hope the 2d animated art style ain't dead for anime, but at the same time, CGI can be good depends on the studio.

It looked like the black paint was chipping off in his final battle. He also started using a speedloader like in the original series. So I’m thinking he’s going to have his revolver repaired by the legendary gunsmith Frank Marlon like in episode 3 of the original.

To be honest, I don't think so. Since this series seems to follow the manga more than the original anime, as shown in episode 9 where Vash's gun was really just an ordinary human-made revolver.

@@itsDjjayy Trigun was 20 And Maximum was 97 so 117 all together (not counting extras), but with their own pacing I think plot points are a better measurement for how much material that they have to work with. Hopefully it's more than the two seasons but 2+ would be more reflective of maximum

I don't think so. In the original series, Knives was also heavily injured during the July incident and needed a lot of time to heal. So I have a strong feeling that in this show, he's still alive but it will be a while until he can actually come back to accomplishing his plans.

I respect what stampede is trying to do, but it just didn’t connect for me. It felt kinda rushed and I didn’t really like how wolfwood, and vash were handled. They didn’t strike me as particularly likable and this vash seemed like he couldn’t really hold up a scene. Though I’ve got to give it props for animation and dedication to being it’s own thing even if it wasn’t for me. The action scenes were crisp as hell and the soundtrack is strong.
