If I were a gambling man, I'd say the omnichord was used to make the music for the original Legend of Zelda game on the old NES systems, and maybe the original Mario Brothers too. It just seems to have that same sound.

If you don't want to chance it with a used omnichord, consider the Suzuki QC-1 Q-Chord. It doesn't sound quite the same, but it does have a similar vibe, and they're still available brand new for much cheaper than the Omnichord.
