I am learning how to groom my standard poodle. I’ve had one disaster messing up my dogs forehead. Pretty much learned my lesson before this video but I still appreciate it. Thanks.😘

Hi, congrats on working with your Poodle at home! The chopping of the forehead is so common when people are learning or trying to work with their pets, groomers can't help but chuckle when we see it because it happens all the time! And it's nearly impossible to fix, except to just wait until it grows out. So glad you liked the video - and glad you got the procedure down now! I bet your spoo looks beautiful! 😍

Thank you! We (and Coco) needed that. (Plus, your Rosie is adorable, and I almost died laughing when she "reacted" to your statement about the thoughtful, intelligent facial expression.)

Thanks, P! She is aging, so her haircuts are getting shorter and much less fancy (she's earned that!), but she has always been an angel for grooming and helping me teach others how to work on Poodles. Thanks for sending love to our little Rosie! 💖

Thank you! I was wondering what safety shears to buy after watching your other top knot video and you tell us in this video which ones to buy so I appreciate that. The groomers my girl went to always gave her the a "flat wall" top knot and I can't wait to do a proper one at home. It always bothered me the way they did the top knot wrong so I want to groom my standard the right way.

Yay, so happy u are learning how to groom yourself! It's not rocket science, but it has complexity! Thanks for digging deeper! 🥰

Hi Gina, can you please make a video showing how to trim around the eyes of a young standard poodle around 8 to 12 weeks old in between professional grooming visits? Llano and I would really appreciate it!

Hi @daddy__warbuxx! Awe, Llano sounds absolutely adorable! ❤ I don't have a Poodle puppy in my clientelle at the moment (but hoping for one, you never know!), but fortunately the concept is the same for our big and little Standards (they are just a little more wiggly when they are pups!) The main focus is to keep the hair out of their eyes and make sure you have safe scissors that you use very carefully. But at his age, it's all about building love and trust - what a wonderful time this is for both of you! Thanks for watching and enjoy your Poodle pup! 💕🐩💕
