Trimming Rear Fender Wells for More Tire Clearance Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited

I just a little more clearance in the rear wheel wells... so with a hammer and an angle grinder, I followed the steps Metalcloak suggested... Pretty simple.

I filled the gap left after trimming with POR-15 Epoxy Putty then once dry POR-15 coating. Finally the rattle can to tidy it all up.

Noticed you don't have the rear Teraflex speedbumps like you had in previous videos - why did you remove?

why would they have you slice the metal like that, why not just use a sawzall and cut it out?

Sortofa weird approach to me, too. “How to create rust in your Jeep” $50 at harbor freight for a hand brake and hammers/dollies, and another 1/2 hour per side and that WOULD have been ‘show quality’ and rust resistant. (Next video please)

It's to retain the spot weld structural integrity. If you cut welds off there's nothing holding the panels that all meet at the pinch seam together. This method keeps everything together

Why not just cut 1 vertical line instead of a dozen horizontal?

I cut one vertical line on my rear fender wells and it came out perfect and a lot cleaner looking, not sure why metal cloak recommends to do it like this.
