Great recipe. To reduce the carbs, I replaced the AP flour with Almond flour and used lakanto monk fruit sweetener w/t erythritol instead of sugar.

I had my first fail, in this recipe ☹️ I have tried alot of your recipes and it was spot on perfect how ever when I tried this recipe it came to all crumbs ☹️ so I added some a tablespoon of butter and some vegetable oil and some milk and then I got a great mix .....maybe this recipe you need to double the butter or use half the amount of flour....I mean no hate but you should do an update on this recipe.....

I tried making this last night while it was pouring rain. You are right, something is very wrong! The dough was like sand! I did detective skills and realized that it had to be either the butter amount or the flour amount. (The other ingredients are in such tiny amounts that they wouldn't affect the texture much.) So I ended up doubling the butter and STILL the dough was too dry. It looked nothing like hers. So it HAD to be the flour amount. I threw away that bowl of dough which was fine for me since I had reduced the recipe after because I had read your comment and another person's. I looked at the recipe trying to figure out if the flour amount was a typo. So I made the recipe again (keeping the butter amount the same) but CUTTING THE FLOUR IN HALF. *That did it!* The dough looked exactly like hers... I baked the cookies for 15 minutes and the texture was PERFECT!! I ate a cookie when they were done and they were fragile. But after 10 minutes those things firmed up so much! (which I like) I suspect that when Natasha typed out the flour amount...that she put "1" but left off the /2 part. Meaning that the recipe SHOULD read 1/2 cup flour but she put a 1 instead. As for the other people saying how they followed the recipe and their cookies came out perfect. BS. I believe that they're lying. There is NO way you can make her cookies using 1 cup of flour! Those people are lying so that they can compliment her. I hate when people do that, because it causes problems for those who us who actually tried to make the cookies. Anyway, I love these cookies but was worried that they would have too much nutmeg. But they're just perfect! Use *1/2* cup flour instead of 1 cup!!

I tried the recipe to the letter. Ended up with a bowl of crumbs! Epic fail! Perhaps butter needed to be melted not softened

I melted my butter and still ended up with a bowl of crumbs. The ingredient list is probably off.
