One of the best bass and drum grooves i've heard in some time, i'm actually gonna learn this one!
@OddMeeter9 жыл бұрын
+theclash435 and musical too! Many of those grooves are so broken up that it effects the feel. I need to learn this too.

Hass can do it all. This is a fraction of his musical reach. Very few drummers, out of the thousands, can make this much music. Tons of chops, yet, the music is always the focus.

This guy is truly amazing. A musicians drummer, with chops. He can play any style so convincingly, that there's no way to tell he's as versatile as he is. Yet he has a voice in every style. He's not bad to look it either.

I really enjoy the drums. Very unorthodox groves over some jazzy funk fun.

I've heard so many drummers using toms to great effect. Have followed that accepted approach myself. But not having them created a completely different effect. Really tight ensemble playing. Rufus could be the guy in the cube next to me, and Matt looks like Jeff Ross. Who cares, great work out on this old show-us-what-ya-got standard. Loved it.

Amazing trio! The keyboardist is always playing the end of the bridge wrong though. Hass is impeccable as always.

These guys turned a Night in Tunisia into a Night Spent in a Blizzard at the North Pole. It's all Double Forte all throughout at a Break Your Neck tempo. Enervating. Exhausting. Stressed Out. Eurocentric Lunacy. Meth Head Music this is. Amen?

Anyone know if this groove is transcribed anywhere?

This is awesome. BUT the constantly changing framerate is really distracting. Probably better to just encode at the slowest rate among your source footage (in this case looks like 24).

Leave it to Steve Hass to take an annoying complicated style of music and make it wonderful and musical. Probably the most 'under the radar' professional drummer in the world. He has more depth and musicality then 99% of all the marquee drummers and clinicians out there. I've never seen him play something dishonest or contrived. Just music.
