Great video, brother! I'm taking my stock jeep out, hopefully this coming Wednesday, on a short day trip. I'm excited to finally take it on some trails!

There are FJs out there with ridiculous miles on the trail. I go off-roading with a buddy who has a lifted 2000 4runner with 360k miles. Original engine and transmission. Runs perfect. Toyota has a following for a reason

Been on Bald twice, never made it to the tower either time. Once cuz the guide never took us there, the other time cuz we weren't sure we could make it with all snow.

Heyo. I have a Prius v and she saved my life recently during a stupid car chase by a cop and a bad guy that threw him head on in my lane. My Prius reacted fast and got me out of a potentially fatal situation. I’m using her for car camping until I can afford a jeep. There’s much more room in the V than one would think. And in snow-never has let me down. Everyone laughs at the Prius. You can sneak up on people too. lol. So quiet.
@TrailNewbie21 күн бұрын
Oh wow! What a story!! So glad you are safe and sound! It’s funny, we all like to laugh at a Prius … but secretly … a Prius is a VERY legit vehicle, and the foundation of hybrid/electric vehicles. One of the most recognizable vehicles in modern history! Thanks for watching and for the comment! I really appreciate it!🙌🏼🙏🏼👊🏼😃

Why didnt he remove the driveshaft and limp it back home?
@TrailNewbie20 күн бұрын
Great question! The rear gear was what was cooked. Jaylow did remove the rear driveshaft off video, and put in 4-Hi. I was gone when they tried to drive it on the street, I’m not sure what resulted in needing the tow. But Jaylow had a 3+ hour drive home so I think it wasn’t going to work. Thanks for watching and for the comment! I really appreciate it!🙌🏼🙏🏼👊🏼😃
@OdySlim20 күн бұрын
@@TrailNewbie Yeah, if it was the ring and pinion, it would be a pretty scarey sounding ride home. You would have to remove the diff cover then the spider gears in order to to drive it home in 4wd. I have had to do it a few times in my old K-5 blazer back before there were cell phones and it was the only choice. Getting a tow was a good decision. Thanks for the fun video. Except for eating the small duck part :-( Take care
