BA used to be a classy airline but not any more. Nowadays they are just a low cost carrier and after my last BA experience; a return Stockholm to Bangkok, I steer well clear.

Amazing video!! I thought Simply Aviation was the best Airplane channel but hold on!! British Airways are the best Airline in the world.☺️ Their long haul flights are much better with nicer foods, Lots of hot food, free drinks, Lots of things to watch on TV especially lots of movies, the leg room is excellent, the service as a whole is a 10/10 every time I fly with them and the list goes on. I think the reason why their Long haul flights are better than their short haul flights is because they focus more on the quality of the service on the long haul flights more than they do on their short haul flights.☺️

And then you have Singapore Airlines, who are excellent on BOTH. They manage to serve you a hot meal on a 1h-flight.

Great video. Agree about the seats and the head rests - but sadly BA are installing seats without headrests in their newest planes - only the seats in the first few rows (for Club Europe) will keep the headrests.

I fly with BA all the time ever since i was a kid and its quite sad to see airline like ryanair and easy-jet influence BA to sort of cut costs and charge people for food although its nice to hear someone look at some of the good things about BA instead of the bad also ive noticed the fleet they have in Heathrow is much more modern anyway ive said enough good review btw (:

Another great trip report. By the way, the word is configured rather than configurated, as in the plane is configured with 170 seats. 😉 Also you can’t complain about the onboard service (rather than the board service) and the flight arrived on time (not in time). YES!! Flying with an classic airline (not "Low-Cost") and not even get a free drink onboard. This isn,t acceptable for me. But when you fly with Iberia for example, you must pay for drinks and snacks too. Shortly ago on a short LH domestic flight between DUS and MUC REALLY I was BIG surprised to received a small muesli-bar and a free nonalcoholic drink for FREE. Unfortunately today in their newest delivered airliner the airlines will press on more and more seats. For sure these very flat seats looks brandnew but the seat-comfort is very poor.

The problem is that BA has lost its prestigious reputation as it is competing with the low cost carriers. I can understand that not offering free meals like they used to is a way to save money and alternatively by getting passengers to purchase inflight is a way to make more profit. But I think BA service has deteriorated and management really need to bring the airline back to its elite status

Unfortunately BA removed a rear toilet and installed an extra row of seats on their european Airbus A320 aircraft which has reduced the leg room to unacceptable levels, as you stated worse than low cost airlines!
