The "butter" for the scones should be clotted cream. You can look up how it's made^^ Kobe is one of my most favourite cities in Japan, I love the atmosphere there, the port, Kitano-cho, Sannomiya station area etc. And of course I love Kyoto too...I used to live there until 2 years ago afterall:') I miss it.
