But most of them are already obsessed with some KZbinrs like Serpantza and laowai86 that bad mouthing China to the extreme, and they like their videos, even those videos spread hate towards Chinese, but they still like it, cuz from the bottom of the most Americans heart, China is always inferior, China shouldn’t be dominating the world, China is dictatorship, China bad bad bad. With those brainwashed Americans when they were very young, their parents directly or indirectly described China in a negative way. So how can they accept the real China when they just find out everything they’ve been told are lies. They won’t believe it and they won’t accept it, furthermore, they won’t face it. In the first half of 2024, 8.542 million foreign nationals entered China through visa-free policies, which accounted for 52% of all inbound trips. This was a 190.1% increase year-on-year. China's 144-hour visa-free transit policy allows foreigners from 54 countries to enter Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei without a visa if they have valid international travel documents and have a confirmed itinerary within 144 hours. The policy was implemented to improve the Belt and Road Initiative and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development plan, and to make entry and exit more convenient.

Thanks for video. I love how there are essentially NO foreigners ANYWHERE in Hubei Province - the only region of China I have extensive experience since my wife’s entire family is there. It’s so awesome in this one province it will be quite some time before we start venturing out beyond although my wife knows places like Chengdu and Guangzhou. I’ll get there at some point. I don’t do insurance bc the locals don’t and we can get healthcare anywhere and it’s relatively low cost in China for most things. We’ve taken our kid to doctors many times for all sorts of things and you just show up and pay a reasonable fee and you’re out. last month My wife had her skin worked on by dermatologists and was very affordable. You better know how to read and write 汉字 or you’re dead, esp if you can’t speak - the southwestern dialects in Hubei province sounds quite different than 普通话. I could list so many amazing places in Hubei province - but I won’t - I leave that for people to discover on their own should they venture out into the land of fish and rice - another name for the province. I have the 10 year family Q visa so it’s a no brainer going to China anytime anywhere.

Trip, Isn’t it very cold sleeping on the Great Wall ? What was the temperature while you were sleeping there ? I didn’t know about this Safety Wing insurance for nomads. Is compensation injury easy to claim and guaranteed?
@TripBitten
@TripBitten 2 ай бұрын
We went during the summer, so it wasn't too cold. Maybe 18 degrees at night, so not too bad. A little chill in the morning, but not enough to stop the trip. For Safety Wing, we have never needed to make a claim, so not really sure about the process, but it seems straightforward. Luckily, we haven't been injured while traveling and we also had insurance through work, so while in China, we could use that one if needed.

i always have travel medical insurance regardless of where the destination is. just checked safety wing, it does not provide coverage for seniors over age 70. so I am out of luck with them. regarding foreign tourists. the Chinese govt said there have been more than 17 million from jan to july of this year. however, I just read a Chinese newspaper about foreign tourism in china yesterday. it said foreign airlines have cut flights to china because of insufficient passengers. so, can someone enlighten me on this topic?? if foreign tourism is booming, why are airlines cutting flights to china?? i understand some of the cutbacks are due to longer flights and more fuel due to the ban on flying through russian airspace. it is very contradictory. love from canada.
@chrispek3912
@chrispek3912 2 ай бұрын
The airlines that have cut flights to China are from EUROPE and US. Russia banned Western airlines from its airspace in response to the same ban by Western Countries for Russian airlines. That results in those airlines having to reroute and hence having longer duration of flight. Therefore, costs are increased, and they are losing customers to other Non-Western airlines. The airlines from the rest of the world still fly the usual shorter route over Russia. The "funny" or rather stupid idea that Western elites have is that they are proposing to ban/sanction every airline on Earth that fly over Russian airspace in-order to "level" the competition. Misuse/ excessive use of sanctions will just further weaken their positions/ power holding over other countries, those elites just never learn. Sanctions are not magical solutions, there are consequences.
@oc34567
@oc34567 2 ай бұрын
Foreign airlines cut flights because they cannot compete with Chinese airlines. Why? Because western airlines need to go around Russian airspace which adds around 2 hours of time and fuel, while Chinese airlines fly straight through Russia. So naturally most travellers chose Chinese airlines, leaving foreign airlines with insufficient passengers and cutting flights, while Chinese airlines keep adding flights to take up their customers.
