This kit works awesome... if your alternator is mounted below your AC compressor make sure when doing this install you flip the upper alternator mounting bolt so that the nut side is towards the front of the vehicle... otherwise you will not be able to remove said bolt without removing the entire fan system when you need to replace an alternator

4 ways to hook these up so test it before install.I got one real cheap because owner had wired wrong and or had fans on wrong..#1 negative polarity - #2 positive polarity,#3 fans in one direction #4 fans facing other direction..It can be in and seem to be working great but not cooling because it is blowing air back at the radiator instead of pulling it through but when it is running you can hardly tell the difference because it is backdrafting??It blows at the radiator then air loops around and funnels back out through the fan fooling you into thinking it is running correctly

@KSuspension7 жыл бұрын
escozx2 the clutch fan will pull about 6000cfm on full load, but you're also doing about 70 on the highway. At idle, your'e tops 2000rpm crawling the trails, its not spinning as fast so it's less air flow The electric fan setup is constant at all times and you remove the drag lost by the clutch fan. @KSuspension5 жыл бұрын
The factory circuit won't handle them efficiently, Your oem setup only has 1 electric fan and a clutch fan that's constantly running, so it doesn't kick on the Efan until it needs to have that little bit extra. If you wire in all 3 efans to your factory circuit, they won't come on unless you turn on the AC (older than 00 models) or if you reach 218*F, and you wouldn't be able to keep a normal operating temperature range. That's why the controller is vital to a good working system.

The aux fan when switched on keeps the driver side cool so I figure 3 fans that run anytime I want that pull good cfm at crawl speeds should drop temps . I'm also not worried about the mechanical fan hitting the radiator in an extreme case .I think I'll be dripping in an upgraded alternator shortly as well . When you install the pasenger side fan is very close to the water pump bolts. They need cut off to the nuts. If your motor mounts are old, when you put in drive motor will move over and destory that fan. I moved my fan all the way until the edge of shroud and drilled new holes. Problem solved. Even with bad mount. You wont hit. A precaution measure.

Don’t need to cut anything on the water pump bolts as the face is a hex head with plenty of clearance. No protruding bolt or stud Now the fan clutch bolts are studs sticking out, and you remove them to install the replacement hex head bolts provided for a flush finish with no impact to the fans
