Can you tell me which color wires are what for just running lights and the back up lights

It's not that dim, just dimmed enough to notice the turn signal. I may try the 2.0 version soon. That's when the turn signal comes on and the running lights go off like a switch back style set up.

What if I only want to have running lights? How would do that?

You'd just run a power wire from the led to a running light wire or a add a fuze to the running light fuze is what I did

Why do you need to use the diode and resistors? Why can't you just wire it without them?

You can run a wire without set up but you won't be able to get two different functions out of the led You'll have to choose if you want running lights or turn signals rather than both

Thats only when you use switchbaks it will be the same set up

Connect the turn signal 12V to the ground of the LEDs, then connect the constant 12V signal to the power for the LEDs. Use diodes in each connection to prevent current back flow.
