"Cared about the business?" No, he cared about himself. If he had cared about the business, he would have elevated people and worked with them. Instead, he destroyed them, happily tanking rantings and the company for his own purpose. Let's compare and contrast. Steve Austin. Steve Austin certainly politicked a few times, but if you notice, it is always in pushing and helping the company. Like Bret Hart, he understood the importance of elevating those he worked with. He never went into business for himself or sat in booking meetings to torpedo those he saw as threatening his position. In his time at the top, he pulled Mick Foley out of mid-card hell and put him in the main event scene. This would lead to many ironic moments from the Attitude Era. He famously protected the Rock from Paul and Shawn as they tried sabotaging Rock's push. Now, I can't fault Paul Levesque for taking the opportunities given to him by Vince McMahon, a complete idiot of a man who only succeeded because everyone else failed. But I can fault Paul Levesque for what he did with that position. He always looked out for himself. He's like Hulk Hogan - just without the charisma, star power, and actual drawing power.

@ it doesn’t hurt but I don’t believe for a second it was his life’s goal to do it. There’s a lot of people who say he did it to get a spot at becoming the next Vince McMahon. As far as putting out a product that everyone enjoys, Vince definitely did outstanding up until about 2010 and people began losing interest. It went back to being somewhat cartoonish especially once programming was for PG audiences. I’m glad that Triple H is running the company now. WWE going to Netflix is probably going to skyrocket the ratings and viewership even more than when we had the Attitude Era.

Cant watch right now, but the truth is the same skills that got him his position are the ones that can actually help the business. He knows how to network. He knows how to get favors, how to be diplomatic, how to be manipulative, and sometimes be ruthless. But unlike so many in that business, he does so with long term vision in mind. He plays the long game, pardon the pun. He remindss me of Vito Corleone from The Godfather. A man who built a power base with patience and favors and the willingness to be ruthless if it served the family. I like to think his marriage works with him saying "Our marriage was part of my plan to build and consolidate power in the industry and manipulate it behind the scenes." I will need some ppl who are like minded so that I can stay engaged and focused on MY dream. HM. Sounds like College days to me. I hated villian HHH but then when he formed evolution, I couldnt deny his reign of terror as just pure perfection. He understood the storytelling and it was fully backed up during this time. And as for them romantic issues - The affair wasnt cool, but this dude was getting beat up by Chyna who was drugged up and roided up at the time. Shes so dope for real though, in spite of her dark side. But imagine having Chyna swinging at you when you know you are twice the size and not on the drug scene. Jindrak was NOT an original Evolution pick. It was ALWAYS Batista. Batista got hurt, and Vince wanted Jindrak to replace him. HHH told Vince he would try (hence bringing Mark to the photo shoot), but knew in his mind ultimately he wasn't going to be a good fit. This explains why strategically, HHH told him to stand aside while he, Flair, and Randy posed. It would be easier for the production people to edit him out. Batista and HHH confirmed this.

The problem was with the company or the industry itself letting certain performers run wild and get their way. Trips is my favorite wrestler and always has been since the early 2000’s. There’s a clip of him early into the corporate era where he started to have a hard time on a spot and steps out of the ring, sits in a chair, and is visibly having heart issues. He dumps a bottle of water on his head and stands back up but has to sit back down once again. This particular clip embodies so many things in my opinion you always see these guys willingly be hurt but seeing him collapse and try his best to come back to and being older, with the shaved head, really really puts things into perspective.

@jimbeewalley4132 He's fine. He's just selling. HHH always does a forward lunge to sell impact moves-particularly strikes and clotheslines. He doesn't go straight down on the first one. Usually it's a sequence of him snapping his neck back, lunge, then a bump down. Notice he doesn't collapse immediately. A really concussed person would. HHH lunges, comes up, takes a knee, then goes to the chair. Similarly, D-von Dudley always does the seizure twitch oversell of impact stuff. When he doesn't, he's hurt.

It was obvious early on that he was destined for big things in the business, but I never imagined that he would come as far as he has. He played the political game, nailed the boss's hot daughter, and he won. He outplayed everyone. I got nothing but respect for him. The Cerebral Assassin was more than just a gimmick. When you wan to be on top of big corporation like WWE you have to be at least litte bit bad person. Goal oriented, sometimes ruthless and we are humans noone is perfect, sometimes he went too far, cross the line. Stephane is his wife, he for sure is tough guy :D

Chris Jericho said it himself. You have to be a little bit of an asshole to succeed in professional wrestling. Stone Cold, CM Punk, Shawn Michaels, Randy Orton, Edge, Kevin Owens, and Seth Rollins are pretty good examples.

#TeamTripsSince95 #ForeverMyGoat #HHHATERSGONNAHHHATE I can't stand modern wrestling today, or what it's become over the last 10-15 years as a whole. This isn't just a WWE thing, but many products. It makes me 🤢 how the quality, commitment, skill, and consistency has fallen. There's choices HHH has made as a figurehead with this modern product that I definitely disagree with, but as a performer himself, he is and will always be my guy. 🎮⚒️🧠💀👑

@WrestlePod Ignoring social media is a start. Stop prioritizing college athletes as PC recruits, stop paying PC recruits to train, stop over pushing or signing legacy kids...I could go on and on.

@WrestlePod so that's a real picture of puff daddy, Vince McMahon and triple h? You didn't Photoshop it to visually imply that triple h should be included in the negative perception of Vince, and it's just coincidence that p Diddy is included? It has nothing to do with his current legal issues? Can I ask you why you make videos about wrestling? I've watched a majority of your videos, and it's mostly virtue signalling, It seems like you have no interest in making videos about the positive side of wrestling.
@WrestlePod24 күн бұрын
It’s a real picture? And I covered the positive stuff for 3 years, and it wasn’t as popular as the more dark side of wrestling so I went with that
@d___c____560417 күн бұрын
@WrestlePod you're correct, that is a real picture, but the fact you're trying to imply that triple h, a man whose never had any sort of scandal, someone that is well respected inside and outside the wrestling business is a friend of puff daddy or that he also participated in sexual abuse and trafficking is downright absurd, I also think you're extremely misleading when you talk about Vince McMahon, you regurgitating accusations and presenting them as fact is irresponsible. I honestly think not only should you change the clickbait thumbnail, but also, if Vince is found not guilty, you should have the integrity to make an apology and retraction video.

Cry about this, down vote it, I don't care. You chant his name at shows now, because without him? There would be no Netflix, and WWE might have tanked if Vince didn't get caught shitting in employees hair.. Marky shit, and quoting Ryback isn't a good look.

In any other context, in any other business, Triple H would be seen as nothing less then despicable. But since he books better then Vince and appreciates talent Vince overlooked, Wrestling fans will not only ignore his actions, but glorify the man. Also worth noting that all those wonderful things Trips gets praised for, he did only after his future and position of power were assured.
