I just love this melting game but todays video took a bit extra to get the final result. Three great bars to add to the stack. I'm getting a bigger place soon so hopefully I can get all my pieces off the floor and onto some bigger shelves👍🏻. Now like I always say have an awesome weekend and I appreciate your continued support👊🏻😁.

My favorite ice cooloff is when the copper bar slowly sinks into the ice and the water boils and bubbles off all the scale on top and reveals the nice red copper underneath ❤❤❤ I wish you could make more of those copper bars that got really wrinkly on top. Those are really cool!

I'll give you a little tip. There is something called phosphorous or chlorine degassing tablets which are blue in color and I don't know the exact composition but when you submerge them into the melt before pouring, the aluminum is refined and all the slag and drose is reduced back to metal aluminum. The slag that remains will look like ordinary dust. So do some searching.
@jonathannorthup57052 жыл бұрын
Dude sounds like a great way to reprocess the slag he usually saves 👌
@jam21902 жыл бұрын
Right, i think he has 2 totes of aluminum slag saved up, and it looks like a good bit of metal is still in there!!!!
@Bluebirdiran2 жыл бұрын
@@jam2190 it's difficult to remelt drose on its own. It's a laborious process. It's best to do it with each batch of fresh melt.

As someone who used to work on used cars that were bought at auctions, painting vehicle components is a very common thing. Makes it look like it has been replaced recently. Some places would also tell you they replaced it and instead just paint it to make it look new. Some very shady people out there.

@11:11 Did the point where the steel was half exposed to air, accelerate the cooldown process? Perhaps having an air medium next to the water medium next to the body in question, causes an acceleration of energy transfer when at the correct ratio???
