All you guys & gals out there are awesome and I'm glad you're back again for some more melting Muppet antics. Now today I clear some room and get rid of a heap of microwaves I've had sitting around for probably two years now as well as some more cast iron coins and remelt last weeks bronze bar failure. Some mix results that's for sure but the cast iron coins came out great in my new molds and I'm sure you're gonna love them. Anyway, I best be off and get started on next week's video as I'm looking forward to it. There's a sneak peek of what it is in today's video 👍🏻. Now sit back relax enjoy the video and as always and most importantly have an awesome weekend and see you all next Friday👋🏻😁.

Hi.., mate How's everything going over there? Great to see a new video this weekend I thought microwaves had more metal like copper, aluminium or bronze, but each microwave has little metal The coins with those graphite moulds are perfect It'll be interesting to see that 200-kilo motor in the upcoming videos Excellent work as always Hope you have a great week Cheers, Max
@bigstackDАй бұрын
Hey Max cheers again buddy you’re a champion. Yeah I’m just starting to strip it down now. The motor itself isn’t 200 kg. The entire unit is 200 kg but there should still be a nice chunk of aluminium and Copper and no doubt some brass. Should be for a fun breakdown at least that’s for sure. Thanks again buddy. Much appreciated . Now I best get back out there and keep breaking it down so it’s ready for tomorrow’s morning melt.👊🏻😁 have a great rest of the weekend buddy.

You can make your own brass. You just have to mix 66% copper and 34% zinc, and that's it.

It's kinda crazy when I realize that it's gone from your winter/my summer, to your summer/my winter, to your winter/my summer, to your summer again and my winter. Feels like all of those episodes watching as things get hot/cold/hot/cold feel all fresh and recent, yet it's been well over 104 episodes, and that's 104 weeks. Though I've been watching the channel for longer - it's just nuts to see how smoothly we transition through opposing seasons yet it all feels so recent.

Here are some ways to remove silver from electrical contacts: Twist and cut: Twist the contact to separate it, then use side cutters to grab it Silver dip: Remove the shell from the connectors, dip the contacts in a silver dip, and shake off excess dip when the tarnish is gone Hydrometallurgy: This is an eco-friendly and inexpensive process for extracting silver from waste printed circuit boards (WPCBs) Controlled cathode potential electro-deposition: This method can quickly and quantitatively separate silver from copper Nitric acid: This can be used to refine silver, but it requires a lot of nitric acid
