This channel and others like it introduced me to tarantulas as pets, and now I have 8! I used to be terrified of spiders but I'm gradually getting over it! The more time you spend observing their behaviour and learning their ways, the easier it gets! 😊 They're wonderful pets, easy to look after and amazing to watch 💖
@CosmicDimensionsArt5 жыл бұрын
As much as I enjoy watching you interact with the critters in the Dark Den, watching you make enclosures is equally as fun! You've made some really neat ones. And watching the last one fight the straw! Wow! I was waiting for her to take the whole straw into the enclosure with her! Thanks for the video!

Hello petko big fan of yours and also collect pokies. I understand your pain and frustration when trying to capture images etc of your Pokies especially the P. Metallica’s but might have found something for you to try in 1 of your next feeding videos ? I frequently place candles around my enclosures for additional light and to my surprise it doesn’t seem to faze my pokies at all they are very active around my enclosure with the light from the candles.

I have a 4" P Striata, she is my first Tarantula, pokies get a bad wrap, you just have to be careful and not be distracted when rehousing or feeding. My girl spends most of her time in her cork bark hide.
@animationlivegerman59892 жыл бұрын
For everone, who thinks there is no easier way, depending on how much bigger the new enclosure is, you can place the old eclosure/corc tube open into the new one and take it out once the tarantula left.

Perhaps in arboreal species they do not like heading up as they feel vulnerable after molting or after not feeding for a while? Maybe a larger thorax helps the spider to jump or give a more powerful strike...so maybe they dont feel like they are equipped for life in the canopy as there are more dangerous predators the higher you go..such as birds or bats?
