Triple Threat Catfish Hooks (How To Fish, Choosing Hook Size)

In this weeks video I answer your questions about the Triple Threat Catfish Hooks I designed with Whisker Seeker Tackle.
I’ve had a ton of questions regarding these hooks, how to fish with them and how to choose the right size hooks from the three options available the 6/0, 8/0 and 10/0.

I just want to tell everyone who is watching that Chad is a man that has the carfishermans back. I had an issue from April with a product and I just happen to ask a buddy of mine who commented ok one of Chad’s videos if he had bn having the issue I had on the certain product. Well with that being said chad stepped in and got all my information and Whisker Seeker tackle called me and replaced the original order of the product that I had made. Now mind you this was from back in April everyone. I ordered two 25 count packs of the Triple Threat hooks and these suckers are the real deal. They are tough and the are sharp! Not loosing any fish on these hooks. I like how u explain for new or old fisherman on how to or not to's, I like the mustad 6 to 8s here in central Oklahoma for flats and blues my preference but I'm going to order the new hooks, I like the hook point couple sharpens and back to sharp, I also have a tip for u,on ur rattlers I use a big swivel stuck in the end on my bobber at the top end to rattle when I Santee and when I seen urs it blew my mind

Chad, I picked up a box of the 6s and the 10s.. Haven't used these yet, but how do they handle big live baits? Most of the fishing in my area is big flatheads and channels. And could you elaborate or is there a demonstration for the long sweeping Hookset? Or am I just over thinking that? Thanks

yea i bought the 8/0 bulk pack and a pack of 10/0, haven't used them yet, waiting to go thru the rest of my other hooks. i typically use 8/0 anyways, and I've landed 30+ lb blues on those just fine and I'm expecting these to perform fine anyways. I'd say, 8/0 is the perfect size for bank fisherman like myself who wanna go for the trophy size cats and catch the smaller ones too

I like this idea. I think I miss some fish because the gap is too small and misses catching the lip or corner of the mouth. Will def try some this year/ 2018.

I will be ordering these I love this style of hook for flatheads here in MN we can use bullheads and the big flats love them. I used a Chad Ferguson MH rod all this past summer paired with the abu catfish special no doubt the best rod I have ever used if you don't have one check them out you won't regret it, I landed a 40# with ease no net any other rod wouldn't have given me that control

I started using circle hooks last year FOR the first time on Flathead's I hooked up a dozen times fought some for like 2 MINUTE AND THEY KEEP GETTING OFF,not sure how long to let them eat using live bluegill,do you have any tips on how long to wait before reeling in.

I use size 6 for sturgeon of all sizes in minnesota and i can say its the best sturgeon hook out there!

The eye on these hooks aren't completely closed and when I try tying your easy snell knot a strand of the mono gets caught on the eye any suggestions?

Catfish Edge just realized that after I commented lol. After I tie the easy snell knot does it matter what knots I use to connect my leader to my swivel and then to my main line as long as their strong knots? I like the uni knot could I use that twice? Thanks
