I owned both a "78 & '77. Loved and appreciated them both for what they were. Granted, some could possibly mistake these cars for a small shopping centers, but so be it. Many a trips from Portland to the coast & Seattle and back were made through the years. I considered it a "first class upgrade".

Another beautiful car! When I got my mercury cougar brand new in 1976, I got a couple sets of keys. The one set had a couple of thin metal round shape disc about the size of a nickel, that had numbers on. The salesman said to take both disc off the key ring and put in a safe, or a safe place, he said if I ever lost my car keys, you could take that disc with the numbers on or copy the numbers off and the dealership could make new keys for the car. Just wondering if you ever heard of that. I still have the car and both disc with numbers on.

If you want a Lincoln town car this is as good as you will ever find. The 8000 miles one here in trhe UK is still for sale, for me it's blue interior is not as desirable as this one is. Best of luck with the bidding Bill, there can't be many left in this condition.
