I always thought he said "live music, let the kids rock" but idk I'm not British lol. This song is great though I've learned to play it but I've only been playing for a month can't do the embellishing and melody like he does so well.

Still can't believe that editor at NME gave their album only a 4/10 and said Van sounded like a drunk Luke Pritchard from The Kooks.. Poor journalism.. so glad they've made it!
@louisecolleen19369 жыл бұрын
and now they're kissing the bands ass featuring them in the magazine m and interviewing the crap out of Van haha finally realized how talented they are
@martintube249 жыл бұрын
***** Yes, I think they've made up for it by posting an insight article on the band touring Australia and describing how Van wanted to carry on with the show despite his voice being fcked.. It was a nice read.. Circa Waves too.. Heard them on XFM about a year ago and now NME sort of started worshiping them out of a sudden!
@bigcm9 жыл бұрын
Luke's not fit to polish Vans boots now. Funny how things change.
@martintube249 жыл бұрын
Not really.. it's been about 10 years since their debut album.. they couldn't have carried on with the same tempo.. not many bands can, especially in the indie industry.. Kings of Leon maybe, but they're more internationally known.. We'll see.. The debut albums are usually the best but then a lot of artists/bands sort of fade away.
@jenkelly3189 жыл бұрын
Martin S TBH the fact that rag gave them a poor review only endears me to them, remember when NME said the Enemy were gunna be that band of the decade! haha. This cover is quality!

Paul Ridley Struggling with the hammer on's etc.. Do you think you could make a KZbin tutorial? cheers
@brianwilson310510 жыл бұрын
Jordan Simmonds You can see most of them in the video. In the verse he releases and hammers in to the E string on the G chord, then the D string on the EM, then he hammers on to the high e on the third fret on the D chord, and with the C at first he only plays the a string and hammers on the D on the 2nd fret and B on the first fret then releases the B again. I'm horribly bad at explaining things so i don't know if you'll understand that lol. just mess about with them and some palm muting you should get it.
@TheChichiShe10 жыл бұрын
pretty much all correct except for the last chord in the little 1/2 bar section from the chorus. Should go C/G - G - D (1/2 bar) - B7 (1/2 bar) - Em (1/2 bar) - D (1/2 bar)

+Bear Boy you're my spirit animal bear boy.
@bearboyyyyy9 жыл бұрын
+CN R Really? I'm flattered but honestly I'm not entirely sure I can do much for your spirit. I'm fairly unreliable, don't give good advice and I consume more honey than any bear should. Are you still certain you want me as your spirit animal?
@cnr89169 жыл бұрын
+Bear Boy it pretty much sounds like me.

+CN R I'm glad, it seems I am a perfect fit. Whenever you need some spirit animal advise, I will respond accordingly.

the reason that van made a mistake was because he originally planned to sing 'are you gonna be my girl' by jet, but triple j said no because no one is interested in jet anymore, so he had to learn this song quickly and he barely knew the lyrics but nonetheless he made this song sound so unique and different to the original, it's so refreshing to listen to. he is a musical genius
