@@willywillywillywillywilly Life is strange as it works oddly in your favor sometimes while going from a small location near by, having a fire but people were there to save various items. Then have an offer to move down the road to use a facility that was being closed. Yes, the right place at the right time for the wrong reason and just worked out for whatever reason. Amazing coincidence. Now, as a ASE Master Tech, I have an extreme reverence for what the people and Mr. Christian Von Koenigsegg for bringing talent to paper, models and ideas to create parts that = systems that are outside the box, not used before and work better! I am so tickled that Christian Von Koenigsegg is so free with his time to explain about his / their creation of the "Ghost" systems with and understanding of what is required to get the weight down, yet improving performance as software on vehicles even I had work on is so important. I am not a race car guy, but a serious automotive enthusiast that have seen bad engineering and good. With software, minor to major changes can happen. The great results that happen, tickles me deep inside, as it comes together and works better than anyone thought. Those moments to me are magic! If I was given a round ticket to go anywhere in the world for an exotic vacation, I would choose Sweden and the Koenigsegg Angelholm factory and hopefully spent time with engineers and Mr. Koenigsegg himself if possible as such as busy man and a deep thinker. God bless the "Ghost." DK, ASE master tech since 78, retired.

cont. The biggest gain in comfort is however the fact that the anti-squat damper allows them to keep the other dampers softer without concerns of compensating for the squat there. Citroen did the basically the same thing 60 years ago with the hydropneumatic suspension of the DS. There the hydraulic oil acts as the shock absorber. The hydraulic lines of the two sides are connected, so they have the same counter-effect to the anti-roll bar. There of course safety and comfort were the most important so the whole suspension system can be set very soft and still having the same ride height at all times. but it squats like hell.

Basically no. Damper rating and spring rating are two separate things. Springs are actually the parts that take the shocks (that is why shock absorber is "wrong" when talking about dampers) and resist the forces shown to suspension. Damper is sort of an speed controller for the suspension movement. When the wheel hits a bump for example, the damper controls in what rate the spring will go up and return down. A certain amount of damping needs a certain amount of spring rate to work well together.

The Triplex suspension reminds of so many designs I have seen. The Dedeon tube was my first thought. Then it hit me when I heard his basic description of the system: Mono-shock. This was used a LOT in older R/C cars and had effects very much like that but you only needed one shock, an anti-sway bar, and down-stops. The two regular shocks in the Agera provide the down-stops and the springs. The design is not "not clever". I'd just saw what he did there before.

You are right about the race cars, of course. But that is mainly because a lot of racing series limit the amount of technology allowed to minimize costs and emphasize on driver input, even though I personally have to disagree with the emphasis in some cases. Production cars have technology based on the customer needs and the price point they are aimed to. Price point then, is defined by the anticipated customer type and their number. Just a thought.

Hi. The Koenigsegg Agera S is made to do its top effect through gas, not by ethanol that the Agera R does, so The Agera S does get a slight less effect of 1030hp and 1100nm, instead of ageras 1140hp and 1200nm. Agera S was made for use in countires where it is hard to find E85 (Ethanol). And also, some safe sources are saying that Koenigsegg is building 1 special model for a chinese customer called "Koenigsegg One 1" with 1400hp and heavily modified agera chassi.

Getting 'any' BHP number from 'any' displacement works well on paper. Wat you forgot is that the Veyron will run for 30, 40, maybe even more years. The BMW 1.5 I4 turbo from the crazy F1 era did ~1500 bhp for the qualifying session. But did it for a grand total of one lap, after which the car was immediately parked.
