This works well when she gives you a direct answer. It doesn't always work out this way. Many times, women will initially balk at the invitation, not saying yes, not saying no. In some cases, she's taking this opportunity to shit-test you to see how you pursue going out with her. In other cases, she's just indecisive or can't remember if she's already made prior commitments. In either case, you have to be ready to move on and drop whatever anticipation you have on going out with her. You can't really afford to give a shit if she turns you down. Somehow, it's going to come out that she was shit-testing you. If it becomes clear to you that she's doing this, move on. Withdraw your invitation. If she really is interested in you, she will pursue you.

To all the men such as myself, always pick your women wisely. Anyone can seem to be the most beautifully attractive and most innocent to date, but always keep a close eye on their body language, their words, their eyes. It can say a lot about who they are without the need for words. It's important we pick the right people to trust when it comes to relationships because i've seen soo many screw ups, breakups and downright lies in a lot of ways. A lot of my friends, such as myself had went through a lot of pain, stress and misery. It's horrible to lose a lot of time and energy into something that will probably die like a lot of relationships. To the calling it a date: I accidentally broke the friendzone with German girls over here by being in the habit of starting to call meet ups "dates". I want aware what Inwas doing. I just meant date as in date and time. So I was gullible when they asked "So this is a date?!?" and just answered the assertive "Yes, absolutely!" They looked happy about it. But I was blind to what was going on as I actually liked them as a friend. Even that one time when a female friend afterwards took me to her place, cuddled up in bed with me to watch movies and said "You can sleep here if you like..." When I said it's getting late. We're in lockdown again. So asked to go for a walk in the park. She seems keen, infact moreso than if I just asked to go for drinks (Which was the plan before lockdown). Personally, I feel that dinner is way too big for a first date, especially if she expects you to pay. Drinks are fine, because you can pay for each alternate round, unless she's insistent you pay for her drinks, in which case run a mile. But idk, free dates tend to actually work quite well, there's no element of things becoming transactional, which in turn avoids risk of being "The nice guy", and also, you can actually get to know a person first before deciding you would like to commit to going on a "proper" date. And if she has a problem with you being "cheap", then that's an immediate red flag and you should run a mile.

I’d ask her out one more time, make it a ‘safe’ option for her, or ask her for a suggestion. If it’s another No, cease contact, stop liking her posts, disappear, move on, and live your best life. Only reach out again once the pandemic is long gone, if you’re still interested, and she doesn’t reach out herself. If the spark was there, it still is. Texting is weak sauce unless it holds value. Text only with the purpose to see them in person, unless you want a text buddy. Let her dictate the text game. Be there for her, but don’t set up a precedent that she’s the one who’s there for you. That’s just absurd thinking and holds no truth. I’ve got news for you: texting often, engaging, and always initiating does not equate to a man who understands women and their hormones. It’s not the job of a man to keep a woman’s hormones in check. If a woman loses interest in the initial attraction because she isn’t getting pinged by text multiple times a day, every day, that’s not genuine attraction, that’s called a dopamine addiction. No high value, self-respecting man is going to run Pavlov’s Dog dopamine trials on a woman to gain or keep her interest. Most men who have high value will not be spending their time thinking, “oh shit! I’ve got to engage this women today, maybe multiple times a day, and every day or she will lose interest!” And, even more so if it doesn’t feel reciprocated. If a spark was made (in person), the attraction is real, and the job was done right, there’s no need for a text buddy or pinging a woman just to remind her of you. Let her wonder, let her think, let her get curious about what you’re up to, and give her space. You set dates. Be a lover, not the friend. Have an air of mystery. If you’ve done the job right, there should be some mystical magnetism pulling you back together. Texting often without a purpose or a clear direction to lead the interaction further romantically (and if the woman can’t reciprocate due to ‘hormones’ or they are too busy) can make that spark fade before the next date (or before setting the next date). If the spark was there and the man has done his job right, she will be happy to hear from him again, even if it’s not often, and perhaps even happier when she finally does. If the woman needs constant engagement to be reminded to keep her interest why date someone who isn’t that into you? Also, if the spark was there, the man has done his job right, and it’s real, she will be more likely to reach out when she doesn’t hear from him. Love-bombing someone new with text is often seen as needy or insecure behavior, which is not masculine energy, possibly a manipulative tactic, perhaps disingenuous, and likely unsustainable long term or consistently. Men shouldn’t text just because they feel the need to, or because a woman may lose interest, do it with purpose and on your own timeframe. Texting often can feel smothering to most women (especially if there is more than one person they’re interacting with, or they have other priorities and their emotions are in flux) and it can lead to confusion, misinterpretation, miscommunication, or wrong timing (hormones). If it’s in the realm of seduction (via text), this is also a bad idea because it’s rather risky and especially if you send questionable texts (or even questionable humor) when the timing is off (hormones). Seduction and humor is always best in person. If someone wants to laugh at memes, that’s what Google is for. Unless you truly know each other well enough, texting can backfire (hormones). Also, I don’t know a single erotic, seductive, romance novel where the man has to maintain a woman’s interest over text to seduce her, it’s just not sexy. If you’re constantly texting, you’re left with nothing to talk about on the date and it’s a less compelling proposition to engage personally, when it’s more convenient to text from the couch and avoid going out. Flirting over text? What are you gonna do? Repeat the same shit the next time you see them in person? Or save it for when it really counts? You want to chime in about mundane daily shit? Or send a joke? Go ahead. From my personal experience of understanding women, for times where something didn’t work in my favor, I’ve analyzed with introspection the reasons why, and 9/10 times it boiled down to something minor and completely benign that went amiss in a text exchange. In turn, I’ve taken a minimalistic approach to text engagement, putting all that saved energy into in-person interactions (instead of eating it on text) and have seen the results. The shifts in body language, respect, and that gleam in their eyes before they bounce, cannot be understated. So, I really can’t take you seriously. If a woman requires constant text engagement for attraction and to hold interest, that tells me that the woman is attracted to and interested in attention and text engagement more than the man himself. If the woman has more interest in the man, constant text engagement isn’t necessary from him and it tells me she’s attracted to the man, and not thirsty for attention. A woman can find attention anywhere, from endless needy chumps who will gladly blow up her phone constantly. The reserved man who is above that, is a different breed and attracting a high value man is much rarer. The need or requirement for text engagement is not typically in a high value man’s DNA, nor inherently attractive to a high value man. For a truly high value man, he knows he’s the prize. He has options, he is not thirsty for attention or to give it. His physical presence alone commands more authority than any text engagement ever could. And this is what every man should strive for, divine masculinity. To be content with or without a woman. If a woman loses interest over ‘engagement’ metrics, and can’t agree to a date because of it, it’s her loss, not his. Plenty of fish. Having said that, I really don’t appreciate your judge mental mindset and troll attitude towards me based on zero facts (saying that I “clearly don’t understand women”, which is rather interesting as you know nothing about me and I’ve been told the exact opposite rather often by women who don’t seem to understand why I’m not married), but I’ll be the better person here and reserve my judgement towards you. Also, TrippAdvice himself advocates not texting frequently, but reserving texts for setting dates. So, if you think I don’t understand women and their hormones, you’re implying that TrippAdvice doesn’t understand either. Along with just about every dating coach. And, if you’d like to clarify your statement and actually contribute some value and insight on what ‘understanding women and their hormones’ means to the conversation, I’m all ears. Myself and others would be grateful to hear a meaningful commentary to that statement and how you think women should be engaged via text with respect to their hormones. This is our mistake we let them take their test. Men are not something to take test of. And its not only men's job to initiate. It should go without saying that if you feel the need to check up on someone and to always keep apprised of her sm status, listen to your gut telling you that this is not the right person for you! You can look forward to nothing but arguments. And it stinks to feel like one always has to keep checking up on a partner to affirm they’re not doing something behind your back. Who wants to live that way? There are not many possibilities as to why she’s doing that and none of them are good. If she’s blocking you because she’s seeing other people and doesn’t want you to know she’s not for you, walk away! Fast! If she’s blocking you because she feels you’re snooping and doesn’t like that, she’s still the wrong one for you; there’s a huge difference between someone who, realizing an insecurity, would take steps to reassure you (would mean she cares) vs. block you with an attitude like “Oh you wanna snoop my status? Here, you’re blocked, that’ll teach you.” (someone who does that to you doesn’t care and is contentious, you will have no end to arguments in life, not worth it walk away!) In fact one has no standing or foundation at all for a trusting relationship with someone that blocks you. Lastly if it’s ever an ex doing this, walk away. Exes are called exes for a reason and once someone is an ex it should stay that way. Unless you are looking for more heartache, like to deal with suspicion and feelings of jealousy and like to argue, walk away. Don’t go by your feelings, go by logic on this one! And anyway wouldn’t it be so much nicer to meet someone new and form a friendship/relationship where there IS trust and where you don’t have to wonder if there’s some other guy she’s chatting up and have to deal with such mind games where you always feel like you have to keep checking up? For as long as blocking you from her social media continues you will never get rid of those feelings, you will have to suppress and internalize emotional pain and this will inevitably lead you to ask questions that she will look at as invasive, which will inevitably lead to further argument and eventually another break up. Getting back with an ex rarely works out; almost never!! Successive break ups are always worse than the one before. You may feel like you really love this person but with her acting that way she is not in love with you. If she loved you she would be inclined to do everything to make it work out rather than to hide parts of her life from you. Trust this, you will feel better and will forget about her once you meet someone who truly reciprocates love. Being in a relationship with someone who hides aspects of their life, which means they’re living a dual life that you don’t know about really sucks. Don’t go along with that! Walk away! There are PLENTY of great people to meet! Life is too short to live with such an unhappy situation when genuine happiness is all around and easily obtained! Forget that ex, forget mental torture. Go forth, explore and find happiness with someone worthy of your attention and your love! An ex who blocks you from her social life is not worthy of you. Be very glad that this person is an ex! You’re luckier than you know being free of her, don’t blow happiness and ruin your life by going back!

Idk when I got to this point but I don’t allow woman to play with me. I don’t waste my time and make shit clear from day one. Why keep going back and forth and why take a woman out if it’s not a date? Boundaries are good. Clear intentions are bad. Boundaries are for you. Intentions are a way to communicate what your plans are with them (it’s for them, not you... and a way for them to decide if they wish to proceed), which may not be currently in alignment. So, it’s best to keep your intentions unclear and to just have fun and romance, until that conversation is necessary.

I’m in the same spot. I don’t allow women to play games with me. However, I’ve noticed that’s when things are the most fun and exciting. Some level of “playing” is necessary in the initial stages of flirting and attraction. It’s a tough and blinding road to navigate. I like ‘playing’, I don’t like being ‘played’ and haven’t seen as much success going straight to serious mode. Unfortunately, I feel like I cut women off and walk away too soon because of this ‘I don’t play games’ attitude. I’m on the fence about whether it’s a winning strategy. First mistake, not immediately asking what days she’s free and negotiating a date when you’re both available. You’ve now waited a week to negotiate that date and you may be met with the same resistance, she could easily be booked up again. Women sense that hesitation and put you in the weak category. You either need to solidify plans in that moment, or she should provide you with an alternate date of availability. Currently, you’ve been put it in a situation where you want to see her more than she wants to see you. She’s in the power position and can keep you benched as long as she wants. Meanwhile, she’s swiping right on Tinder and lining ‘em up, after you demonstrated some weakness. Best course of action... take the ball from her and then put the ball back in her court. Something like, “Sorry, I’ve been busy. I’d love to see you again when I have some free time, so let’s make some plans! Thoughts?” There’s no reason she can’t respond to that. It’s your time she needs to be fighting for now. If she’s not willing to negotiate a date, the attraction wasn’t strong enough and attraction building over text is a death sentence. If you don’t hear from her, you have your answer. And, you walk away with your dignity, giving her no more attention. Let us know how it goes!

Generally a fan of your work Tripp, but I don't agree with much of this advice. Firstly, you say that if a girl isn't attracted to you in the beginning, she's not going to be, which I don't believe is the case. For instance, think of how attractive you were to women back when you were the scrawny, nerdy looking guy, who had little to no game, probably low confidence, little to no money, or life experience etc. You wouldn't have been very attractive to women at all. So girls who weren't attracted to you back then couldn't be attracted to you now is essentially what you're saying, but I reckon that's nonsense, and surely you do too. You'd be vastly more attractive to women now that you look much more manly, have bigger muscles, so much more confidence and life experience, much more money, some fame, vastly better game and so-on. So if a girl who wasn't attracted to you back then came back into your life now, there's every chance she would now be attracted to you, because you're a vastly more attractive guy in general. And it's the same for everyone else. Even if a girl wasn't attracted to them in the beginning, there are things they do to make her attracted now. Such as, get ripped, richer, more confident, more dominant, wittier, more charismatic and charming, better at seduction and game, etc. Just like you did. Which is why your follow-up advice to ask her out to find out if she is attracted to you if you've known her for a long time is bad advice, because if you've known each other a long time, it's almost certain that she will now only see you as a friend (even if she was attracted to you in the beginning) and will thus likely reject your offer of a date. It's a very low-percentage play. Very low. If you're attracted to her and want to get something romantic happening with her, your odds are going to be far better if you make use of the times that you're spending with her to subtly game her in ways you haven't done so before and to gradually start escalating on her. That way you do it stealthily and there's almost no chance of her rejecting you, because it happens so under the radar and before she knows what's happened, she's been swept up by you.
