Proud Blasters Main here, i want to state that another thing that makes the weapon kinda tricky to play in my opinion is disadvantage state, Since you have so many blind zones right next to you, getting an opponent off you can get very troublesome, specially against Katars or Guantlets that want to be right on top of you where you can't really hit them, Recovery is very commital and doesn’t cover you all that well unlike Sword or Axe, while also being beated by any more disjointed aerial, Down Air is more reliable after they added the experimental change, so you don't mess up your landings as much now, is not nearly as important as spacing since the game allows you to be quite passive so you can avoid conflict, but trust me, against a good player, you'll be scrapping like you are mashing your keyboard or have to dodge a lot to reset to neutral

As another Blasters main, the Down Air experimental change feels so bad on platform maps, ESPECIALLY Halo. Recently have been experimenting with Gauntlets for the first time in awhile and it's been a lot better than getting a 1 dmg buff in like 4 years lol. Might just be me but my worst matchup for Blasters is literally just Red Raptor, Orb and Boots feel so bad in disadvantage state. Can agree with you on the Gauntlets matchup on Blasters

@@Haeters My worst Match-up for Blasters for sure is Val, Sword and Guantlets are weapons that i really struggle to get off my face with Blasters, and both are also very punishing off-stage for Blasters when they catch your jumps, facing a good Val is one of the most dreadful feelings in this game for me (And the reason that Val is my least favorite legend, because she's also VERY common for me)

Boots are NOT as easy as people say, I once hit 2 dodge reads in a combo spanning 10 hits and it still only brought my opponent down to early orange, while on another weapon it would be a 0 to death. The speed of the weapon comes at a price of barely being able to even scratch your opponent. Boots is sword but with -50% damage and -20% force

Orb can be deceptively difficult to pilot at times but I think its placement is relatively accurate. I think the hardest things to do on orb is kill when ur opponent isn’t stupid and realizes u really only have 2 options to kill them with unless u want to commit to a sig and also when to use dlight, nlight and slight. Dlight hitbox is weird and u can literally run underneath it as well as it being inconsistent when u hit it and how u hit it, nlight ofc is the stacked option but doesn’t have the best range, and slight is just a slower more committal punish tool. If a player masters when to use each of these attacks or plays in a way to mitigate the possibility of choosing the wrong attack then they’ll dominate with orb. Orb is not good at approaching and that’s why orb players are so boring bc trying to approach with the weapon is not easy. Slight is to slow and commital, nlight has lower range and in neutral is commital, and dlight is easy to telegraph so to supplement this orb players are normally more passive and that’s why they’re labeled as boring. Orb benefits greatly from high strength bc of how difficult it can be to kill with bc u have to rely on sair or slight and that’s easy to look out for if u know what ur doing. I play Ezio and there’s games where I do 700dmg and barely win bc his stats are just ass for orb.

i actually enjoy playing orb, but i also think its really easy, I think it shouldve came before boots and bow edit: im glad ur dissing on great sword, that weapon has the highest floor of any weapon, a brand new player can probably get to 1600 in a day by only spamming attack on gs blindfolded

I'm surprised it has the highest floor. It's not hard to counter. In neutral, you pretty much just avoid slight. A good gs player will play the aerial game though but then that isn't the floor anymore. I think people are still unfamiliar with fighting it because 1. Play rate is low compared to most other weapons 2. Has the unique mechanic of bridging. I don't think it's broken. It's quite punishable, especially if u go for an slight read which is like half the gameplay 😂😂. Then again, I'm at diamond. For lower ranks, maybe players will have more difficulty countering it like how they struggle vs Lance.

Heavily disagree with canon, those hitboxes cover everything, neutral air is very spammable and basic dodge reads (neutral and down are the ones I see the most) are stupidly easy to learn on it. Almost everything is a KO option. The strings while looking fancy often take about 4 inputs and VERY easily KO, not to mention hard to dodge out of. It has a dozen true combos and again, most of them being KO options. It’s great offstage, almost non of the attacks are stationary attacks which even sword has a couple off making it hard to punish. Also, in 2v2 it might be the best weapon in the game along with lance and maybe axe idk if the nerf ruined that tho.

Just shut your mouth, you are account level 86 with a level 66 Petra and are still in gold. You know nothing about the game, you just get destroyed by Cannon because you can’t seem to mix up your dodges and almost no one plays cannon in gold so almost all cannon players you face are objectively better than you. The last “clip” you uploaded 8 months ago is just you doing the infinite kater combo as some may call it on someone who doesn’t use their dodge once

Yo i beat darknova in a sidra mirror when cannon first got its big change to nlight and dair. That man was heartbroken, said it was the biggest nerf hed ever seen. i didnt play with him much and barely touch this game anymore so i dont know what youre talking about but i did get some weird vibes from him, seemed just like awkward though, i didnt notice anything too weird but again i didnt play with him all that much.

I'm an axe main, and the ONLY weapon i have a hard time to play against is bow. Axe is the only weapon that became natural for me and helped me transition to different weapons (blasters, scythe, spear etc...).

There's 2 different scythes. There's the scythe on paper which is a weapon basically puts you into a cutscene where you just put the controller down because you aren't getting any frames to play anyway, and then there's the scythe in practice where the guy just spams grabs because the weapon is poorly designed. Basically the greatsword "roll your face on the keyboard" strategy but for edgy, toxic 14 year olds And the only people who use the former are top comp players. Everybody else just plays toxic ans think they're hot shit and will swear up and down scythe isn't a complete crutch.

Cassidy main here. I literally choose cassidy because she was one of the first ones I saw and I just rolled with it. I managed to get to 1500+ elo. Having blasters and hammer both in top 3 is kinda crazy lol never would've thought they were that hard compared to the others

I’ve started using great sword in ranked and I literally just make sure I dash after the first two hits and then just guess a different direction if my opponent is dodging the string 😂

Gaunts main here, dlight and dair are your best friends onstage and offstage respectively, also dair -> recovery on stage is one hell of a killer move, especially in my experience, I am also a Blasters main, I would say something but I cannot play blasters efficiently if my life counted on it

@@daanstrik4293 @Galactic334 magyar is literally one of the easiest legends to main, it has the most strenght + defense out of all hammer legends when you use the strenght stance. gs is the easiest weapon in the game. hammer is medium but dlight sair is so easy to hit. it has the best gs n sig in the game.

@@burakgook Magyars stat are pretty decent, but he just screams *slow* Whenever I play him I often struggle a lot to get back on stage because of this. His weapons are also good, but greatsword especially is an entirely different beast at lower ranks (Think plat and below. Admittably that may just be a skill issue in my end, I’ve only recently started using the weapon properly. As for the hammer: its a good weapon. But it has some pretty major weaknesses. Most notably how hard it relies on dlight, and the dreadfull short range of Dlight. Lance especially is a pain in the ass to counter with hammer. Since lance’s biggest weakness is approaches from above, where hammer only has the short range Dair. Most damming of all for magyar are his sigs just being… not the greatest. Don’t get me wrong, some of them are very underrated. But the kit as a whole just feels… lacking. I dunno. I love magyar’s character design, hammer is one of my favorite weapons, Greatsword has been great fun. But I just couldn’t get him to work very well. Most victories felt disproportionally harder to achieve compared to other legends. And he’s still much better than queen nai, thats for sure.

just by the 5th paragraph i can tell youre not well experienced with hammer, dont get me wrong, but as you have more and more hours and skill with hammer, you will realise that hammer has an advantegious matchup against lance. hammer actually doesnt have that bad matchups except bow and katars and gauntlets. bow because its really the only weapon that can effectively outspace your sidelights on the ground and you cant really aproach from the air because they would just nlight you. the solution is to bait them to dlight by jumping close to ground and then punishing them. but that doesnt really work on maps without platforms if they are good and patient. so i bannned the only 2 platformless maps from the ranked pool to have a better matchup against bow. katars because its really fast and you cant punish its moves with dodging and then attacking because they will hit you first. the solution is to not spot dodging a lot in that matchup and moving a lot gauntlets because you cant spot dodge a dair, and you dont have an anti air too so it is really hard when they approach from air it isnt like lance because you can spot dodge lances aerial moves and punish them, but you cant on gauntlets because dair is unspotdodgeable and its too fast so they will just attack you first even if you spot dodge it. the solution is to dash away and wait for them to land and punish their landing hammer destroys lance, u just dodge their sairs and sidelight to punish it. it hits every time because of the vertical hitbox of sidelight and lance sair having lots of recovery frames helps. the reason this works the best on hammer is because hammer sidelight has the most vertical range out of any long range grounded attacks on any weapon, thats why specifically hammer destroys lance and not bow, because bows ranged attack to punish the closed to ground lance sair after dodging is dlight, but bow dlight doesnt have as much vertical coverage because it already has an anti air, whereas hammer doesnt, so it makes not having an anti air useful against this spesific lance matchup. and the reason you dont jump is because after a lance sair that has been thrown out after a jump, you cant really slight them after dodging because youre not on the ground. that is why you have to play grounded against lance. playing grounded against lance: makes their sairs more predictable because they have to fall for it to hit so you know exactly when they are going to throw out a sair and it makes you able to punish it with a side light because side light is a grounded move and has more range than a sair. just dont jump a lot, if you dont jump, you just have to look out for sidelight (which has less range than your sidelight), jump fall sair (you can counter it by dodging it because you know they are going to sair when theyre falling, they cant hit you with a jump sair because you dont jump remember) and sigs. if you minimize getting hit by those which is not that hard, you counter lance. i swear to god, the only reason some lower elo people think lance is this godly weapon when in reality its probably one of the worst weapons in the game is because they dont know they should not jump a lot and if you dont jump a lot your opponents options are very limited. the only reason i ever struggle against lance with magyar is when they play artemis and it might be hard to keep up with the side sig spam but as far i can remember, i have a positive winning rate against artemis too. the reason i think lance is one of the worst weapons is because its the only weapon that both 1) doesnt have an anti air on the ground 2) doesnt have a kill confirm on the ground every weapon has one or both of these 2 if you think about it, making lance the worst grounded weapon in the game. you know the weapon is meta right know because barely any semi pros play it and the pros you can name dont play it at all. as for the sigs, hammer is the least sig required weapon in the game, that being said magyar has a dlight into nsig true combo, side sig covers the ledge pretty well, you can slide charge from platforms with it after ledge cancelling (if you dont know what ledge cancelling is just learn it its a required mechanic to play optimal brawlhalla) and as for gs, i just kinda spam aerials till they die tbh. if you think magyar is slow, you can go speed stance, that also lets you have 4 dex which is required for a couple true combos on hammer as for getting back to the stage, you can try to learn different mix ups to get back to stage, diagonal weapon throw upwards, horizontal weapon throw, just jumping and dashjump fastfalling immideately when you touch the ground waiting for your opponent to aproach you and then punishing them with a weapon throw upwards, a reverse recovery or even sometimes a gc n sig on hammer if they are too close to the edge, sairing or nairing can be useful to get back hope this helps, this took me a lot to write

Scythe is much more spammable and learner friendly than either GS or boots. Scythe is my lest played weapon but even with my just my game knowledge I can easily out-space people. Gimping recoveries is easy, there’s no punishment for whiffing, and combos are optional with huge hit boxes.

I think the best way to describe greatsword is that it's main thing is not it's win condition, like yeah you could take time to learn the bridges and gaps (doesn't even take that long tbh) or you can just go the axe route and throw the aerials Also idk how but i got better results in 3 days of scythe than a year of boots and that offends me lol

The reason i think weapons like boots is seems like easy is because the absurd sigs kits that those legends have, yeah you can play with out sigs but playing brawlhalla without sigs is basically playing with tied hands while the others have a knife And thats also the reason i find bow as easy to play as spear, if you play it without sigs yes it will be kinda hard to kill (if we forget about down light+ recovery, ground poud, side air) but with good sigs (aka diana, koji, kaya, azoth) is easy

Yup. Boots themselves are already decently easy. But all the legends released with it follow the trend of “New character is the best character” They all have really good sigs. Which counteracts the biggest weakness of low damage

It's funny how everyone used to say blasters are broken, but then I looked at brawlmance statistics and diamond battles, and main blasters used blasters for like 30s and then switched weapon 😂 Nowadays it's so bad no one says it anymore, but I still main blasters because I love it.

Understandable, I’ve personally always had a hard time with blasters, so it makes sense if blaster mains think it’s easier. Got a lot of respect for those of you that have stuck with the weapon throughout its horrible state in the meta 🫡

Couple things I wanna say first of all your ranking of boots is to play well rather than at a balanced standard so in my opinion it should be lower on the list next to spear either above or below again in my opinion Secondly the reason I think greatsword is top 3 in terms of difficulty is because similar weapons that rely on reading your opponents like gauntlets scythe and canon which you placed all above great sword don't need to worry about whether or not your opponent will not dodge or wake up attack on great sword you need to read both the dodge and jump and wake up attack whereas on a weapon like gauntlets you don't need to worry about a wake up attack immediately after a side light for example Thirdly very small but scythe should be above gauntlets because of my own personal bias Lastly you forgot to mention that both hammer players and blaster players are handsome gigachads 💖

Only thing I heavily disagree with is bow being harder than boots, they are both mid weapons difficulty wise but to say that bow is harder just doesn’t sound right, I would just swap them ranking wise

Back when you made your video the first time around gs was for sure the hardest weapon because it was the worse weapon in the game. Now it’s not after the buffs it received, the new legend, and the nerfs on certain weapons.
