I have been to VCE in March 2016, right when they started renovating. It now looks better, back then it was really an old, crappy airport. Although they haven't finished refurbishment, it still has improved.

I think the reason for this can be in the name of the airline. Ali in Italian means wings so Alitalia translates to 'Italian Wings' or 'Wings of Italy' I don't know which one. But WINGS is there for sure and hence the logo on it. It's purely a theory but it is likely.

Yesterday i flew domestic (Schengen) with ITA Airways and it feels so much Alitalia-y. From the items in the galley and even the uniforms of the flight attendants, they still have Alitalia logos.

Always been very curious about Alitalia, Italy has a great reputation as aviation pioneers, especially long distance flights. They look really good. I think Korean Airlines put their Ying/Yang logo on top of their aircraft wings (or used to).

I flew with Alitalia from Düsseldorf to Rome Fiumicino about a year ago, and I must say, the legroom was VERY tight, even compared to other airlines. (I'm 2 metres tall). Everything else about the airline was great though.

Which frequent flyer programs are you two using personally? I'm still unsure if AAdvantage is the best one for me in oneworld since Air Berlin's topbonus is gone. For Skyteam I'm using Delta's and for Star Alliance I'm using Lufthansa's program.

Thank you felix for showing us the fleet. For future filmed tripreports, i would suggest that when you browse through the if-flight magazine, show the fleet also, it won't take much time and i personally think that's interesting, especially those airline's i've never flown with. And i do think i am not the only one thinking about this. Really liked it when you showed it in this vid!

Dave/Felix, when you do show the fleet and the routes stay on the page longer; your cuts are too quick for your viewers to glean any information. I'd much rather see those two items than a comprehensive, overly long treatise of the IFE offerings.

The inflight magazine isn't revised: Alitalia bought also a boeing 777-300ER from Air Austral, so they have this type of aircraft too, in their fleet. Anyway, great trip report!!!

Try to fly with Alsie Express from Copenhagen Airport to Sønderborg Airport. The ticket is pretty cheap and theres alot of legroom. A cool thing about they planes is that they are full black
