I'm from Banlgadesh, and it's the opposite with us. We have relatively new aircraft at Biman, but our crew are an absolute joke. With PIA, hey desperately need a refresh of the cabins. Absolutely adore the PIA crew who are nothing short of amazing. Genuine smiles, attention to detail and they make you feel special. Highly underrated. Financial constraints mean that they're having to suffer along the way. Hope they can turn a page and find some fortune to grow and upgrade their cabins, if not purchase new aircraft.

It is a comfortable flying PIA between UK & Pakistan as its a direct flight, so saves time. The pilots are skilled in perfect landings. I also like the fact that they serve meal soon after departure and then let you sleep for a good 5-6 hours. Then they turn the lights on and serve tea and you arrive fresh at the destination.

Yes IFE is broken in most of the PIA planes travelled to Manchester on PIA last month. I had a talk with crew memeber he said we r sending 777s to US 1 by 1 for IFE overhaul soon they will be fixed.

Great to see you do a video on PIA. Please keep in mind this airline which was once renowned as best in the world has been through years of neglect particularly in the last ten years. The new government appointed a management headed by an Air Force Air Marshall last year. When he took over the airline was in a loss in excess of Rs 300 billion with many of it's jets grounded. The entire fleet is now operational and funds have been allocated last week for installation of new IFEs on all 777s. Hopefully, things will be even better next time around.

I think this is the first high-quality review of Pakistan International Airlines on KZbin! Congrats! 🥳 As for the flight itself, I did watch snippets of other reviews of PIA, and it seems like they have a problem with in-flight entertainment screens being broken on their Boeing 777s. I'm pretty surprised to see that this aircraft *kinda* has mood lighting, but, for some reason, it's only above the window seats, and not the aisles. The seats themselves really do look comfortable, but they don't look very long-haul; they remind me of Turkish Airlines' short-haul business class seats. I think the cabin definitely needs a refresh. I'm glad you enjoyed the food, but to me, everything except the cakes and drinks looks dry. 😬 Was it really like that? Finally, I'm glad that the airline does actually live up to its slogan - "Great People to Fly With". I also love the female cabin crew uniforms! 😅 Overall, to me, this was a very nice trip report, like pretty much all of your videos! 👏

I’ve had problems with the IFE not working on 777s before, it’s quite weird considering I have flown the 777 in Singapore Airlines and the IFE was broken... i was given another seat though. I think the food was meant to be crispy, and the rice was specifically cooked that way to give it that dryish looking texture, but I’m sure it wasn’t that dry.

@@Bionix21 Broken in-flight entertainment simply happens on every airline, Simply Aviation even has a trip report from a transcontinental flight on United's Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner (which was almost brand new, I think), and yet his seat had broken IFE. I have noticed, however, that on Pakistan International Airlines, IFE that doesn't work seems pretty common. As for the food, it was never pointed out that it was dry, so I guess that it wasn't, but you can't deny that it does look like it... 😬

Well, PIA certainly did fulfill its primary mission, namely to get you to your final destination safely and in a timely fashion. That landing at LHR seemed particularly smooth and soft. Only shortcoming I can see is food service. Meal size is inadequate, especially the second one. Furthermore, some dishes lack presentation. That said, I'm sure it all must tasted reasonably good because one, you didn't complain, and two, typical Indian/Pakistani cuisine is anything but bland and boring when it comes to flavour. Lastly, the inoperative IFE system was unfortunate, but that can happen to any airline, so not a deal breaker. Final comment to PIA: fix your economy class meal service on this route as quickly as possible. It's not that difficult nor particularly expensive. And always remember. It's much easier to keep a customer than to find and win over a new one! P.S. A few decades ago, we used to have a charter airline by the name of Wardair in Canada. I haven't had the opportunity to fly in a Boeing 777. I just have seen it twice times in the airports, and I liked it a lot, because its ellegance and size. But by watching all these videos, and listening the engines start-up, I fell in love with this airplane. Simply gorgeous!
