2013, Kayak fishing camping trip for 1 week East Cap Sable Fl. way down the peninsula near the Fl. Keys. Extraordinary experience, that is all you have to keep, is what experiences you had and very much specially those you created. When you get to old age and you look back what you will regret is what you did not try.

Going on my first kayak camping trip in two weeks. Got online looking for kayak packing hints and stumbled upon your videos. 3 days on the San Juan River in New Mexico. 5 of us ladies going camping, two of them with service dogs. We've been doing day trips on the Colorado River with the dogs, getting them acclimated to the kayaks. I've pretty much lived my bucket list, but now have a few new items to add. Plus a touring kayak, Mine's only 12 feet long. Thanks for your videos.

So great to watch with my coffee and honey bun this morning... great alternative to insane media! I just bought my 3rd board and haven't ever even tried it yet! I live in Charlotte.. I am 30 miles from 3 lakes.. all different directions. I really enjoyed escaping vicariously through you this morning and am excited to get out there! I bought a 'Current Drives' inflatable Huey a few years back but then discovered SOT kayaking.. just bought my second (yak).. then I got the 'Fathom' plastic board from Dick's.. last week I got a fiberglass/epoxy Scott Burke board.. v-hull racer.. closeout priced.. very cool!

Great video Trip. I also own a couple of Red Co boards. You can drive over them, drop them from a 10 stories tall building but a sharp jagged shell can cut them. I don't understand one thing. It is not allowed to camp on the island, but it's ok to make a fire? So what difference does it make if you sleep a couple of meters from the shore, if your stuff and campfire is still on the island? Anyway, I really like your adventures and I can't wait for my paddleboard to finally be delivered (my parcel got lost and I'm waiting for almost a month now).

Don't think it was. Since there was no air pressure in the can that shows that it was out of pressure ;) Yes, it burnt pretty good!

Great video. When I use to work on Tyndall AFB, many folks fished fir RedFish at Crooked Island. Did you see any? Also, have you ever tried eating the Stingrays? I have and they're good cooked over the fire and eaten with soy sauce or a spicy sauce mixture. Use a spoon to scrap meat from both sides of cartilage. Look forward to next video.

I'm a little late to the party, but I'm wondering about the regulation for that beach. You can have a fire, put up a tarp, but then can't sleep onshore for the night, but you can leave all your other gear on the beach overnight. I just don't get the logic, do you know why they have that rule?

I don't really know why, but it is odd....

Did you get rid of the kayaks?
@TripSmith
@TripSmith 6 жыл бұрын
No, I still have my touring kayak. The SUP's are just give me more freedom when paddling and I enjoy paddling them longer distances. They seem to be easier to paddle for longer periods of time since you are using more muscles in your body to propel yourself vs mostly arms when paddling a yak.

Something like that I think. It's so the sea turtles don't think it's the rising sun on the shore or something like that.
