One thing I keep considering in this situation is that Shane has always been an extremely empathetic person. You can see it in his videos, even if he's joking around or acting silly. He sees the brokenness and pain in someone and knows what that kind of state feels like so he tries to be the savior and comfort to them that he needed in those moments in his life. I know I got involved with some toxic people because I thought I could help them and that if I didn't help them and love them no one else would, and it took years to finally see through all of that. I can understand why he continues to associate with people who are toxic for him and others because he feels that he needs to be that source of love and kindness for them. I wish everyone in the situation the best in regards to true reflection, growth, and self healing in whatever they encounter.
