Cleo has made a more recent F1 video. It's much better than this one & she gets shown around the Red Bull F1 factory in England & meet Max Verstappen. It's really mind blowing. All her videos on different subjects are really good. She properly geeks out.

Ive seen this video quite a few times and every time i am confused when she talks about f1 going eletric. Formula E has existed for years.
@Fons.s21 сағат бұрын
It’s just hypotheticals, because the point is good. Keeping F1 the same would cause in it losing any relevance. There are just different ways to solve the emission problem. One is electricity, and there were talks of F1 and FE merging in the future, but those talks stopped when F1 came up with a plan to start using synthetic fuel. Then there is the potential 3rd option of hydrogen fuel, but development in that department isn’t far enough yet

With 2026 and beyond 50% of the Power that keeps the Car going comes from the Battery, and 50% from Fuel. Right know its i think 75%-80% from Fueal and 20%-25% from the Bettery.
@pitterpattery18 сағат бұрын
F1 has had hybrid engines for years so they’re already not 100% fuel dependent. The only dilemma is how electric can F1 go until it starts looking too much like Formula E

It's just a hypothetical, I'm sure she knows about Formula E. F1 is actually heading in other direction, they are developing a way to synthesis carbon based fuel. Think they said their goal is to develop it until 2030 and from what i read they are right on schedule with the development, maybe even a bit ahead. Currently they estimate they should have it by 2028/29. Thats the future of F1. Not electric, but synthetically manufactured carbon based fuel.

Consider this: The Ferrari F40 had an engine that shared the base project with their F1 engine. Don't remember if it was built or tuned differently because the F1 engines wouldn't run much past 1200 km (750 miles) drive distance before melting. That's how crazily built for performance they were before reliability and environmental safety came into the rules to keep relevance for the industry.
@misssunflowerj1894Күн бұрын
so there is actually a race series that is called Formula E and the cars are all electric, you can watch the series for free on their youtube channel. A lot of the racers came up from the other race series that have them go into either F1 or Indycar or even WEC

They kinda do get money at the end of the season, depending on their position in the constructors championship. Like last season, Alpine(race team) moved to 6th place in the constructors and won $30 million.

Well the future of cars isn't electric, no matter what they say. It's bio-fuels that is renewable. And F1 is pushing in this direction.

Welcome to the F1 tribe. Couple of admin notes, Lewis Hamilton is the GOAT, he has the most of just about everything in F1 history, he's also known as LH44 and the most feared radio message in F1 history is,"Okay Lewis, IT'S HAMMERTIME." This clip was a very rudimentary intro to F1, just be careful if you jump into F1 social media it can be unkind to melanated people of conscience. Here's another way of looking at it is to ask yourself, have you ever seen a Ferrari commercial on TV?

Electric cars are fast, if you look on the official Red Bull channel, they have a race with an F1 car, an electric van, motorbike and rally car. Although I'm not convinced that electric cars are the future, since they rely on electric, which mainly needs fossil fuels. Whereas, Toyota has made water based engines (hydrogen fuel), which has near zero emissions. Fuelling would be as simple as today, no long charging or limited travelling distances.

Electric motors are very efficient as far as converting energy to motion so it’s relatively easy to get a ton of power in electric vehicles. The biggest limitation of electric cars is weight. Batteries and motors very heavy. Modern f1 cars weigh around 1700 lbs the lightest electric car made is a 1000 lbs heavier and it’s basically a glorified go kart.
@mattf940615 сағат бұрын
Min weight of F1 cars is 500kg, and they all run extremely close to this, even at the odd times going under that after races with fuel burnt off etc. 500kg = 1100lbs.

So this isn’t too much of a debate if we are looking at numbers. We can argue through feelings and opinions about the greatest. (As fans tend to do.) Yet, numbers don’t. Senna was a magician in the car who’s career was cut short. He may very well become the goat. We can’t give that title though. Michael grab that title. May have came through, let’s say some aggressive racing but he have 7 titles! GOAT status. Then comes young Lewis. People say oh he was with the best race team during the turbo hybrid era. Trying to diminish his driving performance and overall dominance. Either way numbers don’t lie. He is the overall goat. Broken records on broken records. It’s not an argument.
