Very good documentary Dr. Alex. I was just searching for tiny houses and here I am. I am in awe of this community.. This is my dream community for me and my 2 daughter. I hope that there is a community that can adopt a family :) I hope that one day, I can come and live here until the day I die. Sending love from Philippines! Good luck Dr. Alex.. God bless

Why dont they plant fruit bearing trees around the island?
@akhilmj2476 ай бұрын
Gemini AI says Planting fruit trees on Tristan da Cunha is challenging due to several factors: * Harsh climate: The island experiences strong winds, cold temperatures, and salty spray, which can damage fruit trees. * Volcanic soil: The volcanic soil on the island can be infertile and lack the nutrients necessary for some fruit trees to thrive. * Limited freshwater: Freshwater availability can be limited on the island, making it difficult to irrigate fruit trees. These factors make it difficult to cultivate many fruit trees on Tristan da Cunha. However, some residents grow vegetables and berries in sheltered locations with success.
