NYC is fun place to live in your 20s because that is when you are going out a lot to bars, clubs, etc. I loved living in the city in my 20s and early 30s. I'm 47 now and have zero desire to ever live there again. Now I enjoy life near the beach. NYC is gritty, beeping horns and trash everywhere, very stressful day to day in general and everyone lives in a tiny shoe box. Yes the lucrative high paying jobs are there, but what good is it if you're spending more than half your after tax income on rent for a shitty tiny place?

Go stand outside of the Super Bowl in Vegas and ask as many people as you can attending the superbowl what they do for a living. If you can’t make it this year, maybe next year? Maybe some other major sporting events like the Formula 1 race they had in Vegas recently.
