You better research people behind the album first before you do some review. *The Guy* in the intro of After Last Night is the legendary Bootsy Collins😒.. It seems you come in class unprepared 🙂and your album reaction is so childish. Your a music teacher but your more focus on analyzing the lyrics instead of how good the vocals and harmonization are. Folks have every right to commend Bruno for his vocals, chord progressions, producing and guitar playing and having the mind to bring Babyface on board to assist with Put On a Smile. Some old heads aren't crazy about adding in rap with 70s soul so it won't always be acknowledged in some reviews. Create your own channel if it frustrates you that much.🙄

This entire album is a progression of a relationship that started when he left the door open, she's as fly as he . After last night refers to the night that he left the door open and they spent the night together. He finds out that she's no good and is cheating and he kicks her out and she has him smoking out the window., He wants her back and has to put a smile on his face, etc for the rest of the song.
@sniperserpentx36282 жыл бұрын
And then he decides to party and gamble to hide his feelings winning all the time with the number 777, then he becomes a playa again trying to get girls to skate to him, amd finally he finds this new girl and decides to fuck the world and get tripped up to forget while potentially starting a new relationship. You're a genius.

Maybe it's just me, but I felt like you were getting held up by the smallest things, causing you to pause and completely mess up the feel.. You got caught up on the whole cigarette/weed thing when the cigarettes was a toast to the 70's.. the whole " what were they doing?" at the intro of After Last Night (again, if you were familiar with any of the music that influenced that album, you'd know that was a classic was to start off tracks in the 70's with a sexy lady talking or moaning)... There were more examples, but I felt there was a huge disconnect with you and the body of work

I can see if it was like my favorite album or band I'd want him to take every second in and take it seriously focusing on vocal techniques, new things they're doing, lyrics... but I feel like this was meant as a laidback, fun first reaction chat with friends as opposed to professionally and seriously dedicating the entire time to every aspect of the song.
