Not only is she just doing it as a joke which i think is fine, but i've seen the original clip and its in a car where the sound is gonna be more contained like it is. It’s because sound waves can travel not only through the air but can travel through solids such as your bones - so when you sing you hear resonance through bone conduction as well as the the air while others can only hear the sounds vibrating through the air (hope that makes sense!)
