I’ve followed her for a while. While everyone is talking about how dramatically her stage presence has improved (which it has... this is how you take criticism and run with it), her voice has always been good. But I’m sure she got more lessons before this last album release because I’ve noticed her voice is doing more of these flips and tricks. She’s always had this thing she does when she hits higher notes where her voice kind of squeaks/cracks at the end... you can hear it in “Be The One” towards the end and a lot on “Cool” with the newest album. It’s almost like the shout thing you were talking about.

@@ThePolypam Well, it depends on the type of music. She's know as a pop/dance music singer, so there's a bit of an expectation that she move some on stage. She doesn't have to do full on choreo like Beyonce or Brittany, but at least make me believe that your music makes you want to move too. The more dancers you have on stage, the less you have to do it, but you've gotta move some, or have a surrogate like Sia does

1000th comment: pleasure to be here.. i heard dua lipa's tiny desk "love again" before this video.. and yea it's a BEAUTIFUL song, so much emotion and talent. I kept laughing as Tristan was like "I want to hear her high pitch voice" bc I know she ends it off like that and I'm like "just watch!!! it's coming bb!!!!" haha. Glad to know I know what good singing is and it being validated by someone who can give more attention to Dua's talent. She is killer!!!

One of my favorite covers she sings is Sam Smith's "I’m Not The Only One". That type of songs shows how great her vocal tone is

Ohhh comment on more dua lipa! Beautiful voice! Sounds kinda smoky like Adele, with an upper squeak like Sia. Also great song writing in this song. Dark low vowel notes, open high bright vowels. Love your commentary, T!!!

Dua Lipa will go a looooong way coz her voice is pretty unique. Somewhat like Tony Braxton's but can definitely hit higher notes and can do either upbeat and love songs very well. I love her.
