I own one of these I bought a couple years ago for 529 this shotgun hands down is 1000 dollar gun easily ... the higher priced guns Berreta browning and benelli are great but this gun is as well made as them bigger brands it shoulders well shoots awesome easy to carry all day. I have about 700 rounds through mine only one failure to fire which I think was a shell that had gotten wet that was around the 400 round mark and never another problem easy to clean and disassemble has beautiful fit and finish I mainly use it rabbit hunting and a few times for dove has never failed to amaze me everyone asks me what is that ? The shoot it and love it and usually buy one my next purchase will be the .410 semi auto

Thank you! The most I've ever broke is 7 with the Beretta Xtrema 2. I don't think I could ever get any more than that though. It gets exponentially tougher with each clay after about 4 of em. I'm glad this little shotgun only holds 5!! LOL Thanks for watching buddy!

thanks again for these sub 12 gauge reviews..long live the 28--may it prosper and find a home in every one's battery. a twelve gauge is a wonderful thing and versatile, but having an all twelve gauge battery like i did misses the boat (and fun) of a lighter gun....

Hey Buffalo, bought me a new TriStar Silver 28 last month. Going squirrel huntin next week here in North West Ohio. Never have seen a gray squirrel in North West Ohio. Big red fox squirrels. Somewhere in Ohio years back. A 5 pound red fox squirrel was shot. Got my TriStar for 566.00 including tax shipping. Hopefully have a big squirrel supper. I used to have a Sears single shot .410 shot a few squirrel with it

Buffalo, I bought the TriStar Silver 28. I have only test fired 4 times to make sure shotgun cycles. Anyway I wanted to ask you, does your TriStar 28 kick. This one I have kicks big time. Never knew a 28 gauge could deliver a kick like this one gives. Not complaining, this shotgun screams to be shot. Shells I bought are Fiocchi Steel 28 Gauge 1,300 feet per second. I really am impressed with this shotgun.

I just wasted over $500 on 20 gauge Tristar Viper 2. I didn’t find a whole lot of information on the TriStar Viper 2 but I did come across your videos on TriStar and also the NRA promotional videos. I wasn’t looking for a competition gun but something for upland bird hunting, shooting some trap, skeet and sporting clays occasionally when my daughter comes to visit. When I discovered the gun doesn’t cycled field & target loads rated at 1200fps, I was more than disappointed. I was depress. I figured (according to the Internet) the Viper 2 needed to broken in with some heavy field loads. After 2 boxes and a sort shoulder, the gun still didn’t cycle the target loads. Finally I went to the Tristar website only to find out the gun will not cycle shotshells lower than 1220 fps rating. How convenient for TriStar to point that out. I seriously you will ever mention this on your website. Enjoy the money from your BS videos.

Only time I've ever shot a 28 gauge was on a plantation style quail hunt with a friend. We were suppose to kill 24 birds in an all day hunt. Well by 9 am I had killed 13 so they gave me this 28 gauge double barrel to try to slow me down. Well by 9:30 I had killed 18....They took my gun all together and let my buddy kill the remaining 6 birds... Some sweet little bird guns and that thing sounds tight as Dick's hat band! I would definitely consider that gun.

Good looking shotgun. I’d be very interested to see a 410 version. What’s the general opinion on Tristan quality and reliability?

They seem to be getting a good reputation after having problems back years ago. They have been around long enough for me to believe that they will still be around in the future. Unlike some import brands that sell a bunch of guns then disappear leaving us with no way of getting parts or service.

They are a little harder to find in some areas. Cabelas and Sportsman's Warehouse carry a decent selection. Even my WalMart carries 28 gauge target loads though I don't from them much anymore.

Buffalo, sometimes you pay for quality and you don’t get quality. I got a Swiss watch thats been nothing but problems while my Timex keeps on ticking.

Rooster Currie call up Bear Tactical in Perrysburg Ohio. Next month they are ordering 10 boxes for 99.99 comes out to 39 cents per shell. Wait til next month though. Save 30.00 Buy the 13 feet per second. Shells are expensive in regular stores. Around 15.00 a box. Where do you live. Gary at Bear tactical will find what you need. My # is 419 975 8062 Toledo Ohio

David Vance I live in Louisiana now, but I’m originally from North Carolina. I really appreciate your help and info. I’m gonna get a 28ga. for sure. But I’m not sure what I’m gonna get yet. I really like the gun you’re shoot’en, but I came across a SxS that I’m really interested in getting. And Academy Sporting Goods carries an OU 28ga. That’s pretty nice too. What would you recommend???

I bought the one Buffalo is shooting. This TriStar Silver 28 Gauge automatic is worth more than what the price is. That is for sure. With tax & shipping. I paid 566.00 These TriStar Silver 28 gauge are very well built. I bought a box of Fiochii shells. 1300 feet per second steel shot. Kicked like a 12 gauge. The steel shot shells carry more powder. Probably 29 grains. This little 28 Gauge loves to be shot. Get the Silver, best looking gun on any market in the world.

She's a beauty!! Is 28 gauge more powerful than a 410?
@buffalosoutdoors
@buffalosoutdoors 6 жыл бұрын
It is a larger gauge. If .410 were converted over to gauge it would be somewhere around a 67 gauge. The 28 can throw a heavier payload giving a denser pattern at a given distance. Thanks!
