Just completed this job and found the video very helpful. Even with the replacement PRD being a very simple task for anyone confident isolating the main shower supply within their electric box (circuit breaker), it's always great to view this being done in practice as per this video. Thanks again. 👍

Oh yeah.. whoops. I forgot to flip the breaker before i went having a look at mine! I'll remember to turn it off before i fix it when i get round to it! Ooops!

Where can I get replacement screws for the PRD? The heads are a bit knackered on mine. It's a Triton Rapide R3.

Hello, is there any video showing PRD replacement on Triton t300si? Also can interchange ball with disc in PRD?
@TritonShowers Жыл бұрын
We don't have a video specifically for that model, old cream coloured PRD's use the ball. The newer black PRD's use a burst disc. The burst disc requires a black PRD due to a slight size different. But the black PRDs will retro-fit older cream coloured PRDs.

Hello, I have a Triton Amala where the device is on the back of the inlet pipe. I’m not sure how to access the old PRD please could you advise how I can get to it?
@westyrugby9213 Жыл бұрын
Hi, new type prd - do you have to change the whole part or can you just change the diaphragm. Noticed that you can just buy the diaphragm in some places. Thanks.
@TritonShowers Жыл бұрын
If the shower has an old cream coloured PRD you will need to replace to the black PRD pipe and diaphragm, the newer black PRD pipe is slightly bigger size for the diaphragm, so if you put the diaphragm on the old cream coloured PRD it won't seal properly. (If it's a newer black PRD though you can just swap the diaphragm)

Mine blew when I used a universal shower head with a filter inside. Surely this wouldn't cause it ?

Sorry , but it would have been more helpful if the 📸 would have been closer to see the manoeuvre .

Thank you for your feedback. We have included still images of key parts of the tutorial to try and show these parts in more detail. We also hope to use a head-cam on future videos to show the installation process in greater detail.

I replaced the (old type white with 'O'-ring) PRD in my Triton Cara three years ago. Leak solved. Forward three years and leak started again..... however, after ordering and fitting the same type of replacement, the leak persisted....I noted that the little ball in the original (2nd) replacement was still in place so why is the shower leaking if it isn't the PRD that's "blown"? By the way, water is flowing as usual from the showerhead albeit with less water pressure, as you might expect with a leak.
@TritonShowers2 жыл бұрын
Hi, if the ball is still in place but leaks it would sound as if the ball has partially dislodged, if the pressure has dropped it would be worth just double checking no blockages in the head from scale and that no kinks have formed in the hose, if both appear okay we also over the phone help and if required a service visit on 02476 372222.

Hi I wonder could you help me I have a Triton Aspirante and I need to change the PRD. It is located in behind what I believe to be the water outlet pipe and I can’t get at it. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you
@TritonShowers2 жыл бұрын
Hi, we have quite a large range of Aspirante models, if you could please send a photo of the model across to us on technical@tritonshowers.co.uk we should be able to identify the version and help you further.

Looks easy enough unless, like me, you can barely see the cover screws never mind loosen them! The downside of getting old. 😬
