Hi Tony. Once again I find myself in one of your high quality videos in order to complete the next mod on my 2016 street twin. Bar end mirrors, headlight grill, gear peg, tank pads, Pirelli Scorpions - all done. Now it’s time for the break levers. Next on the list is the speedo black out. Although I’m always watching the recent uploads, your old street twin’s videos still feels very pleasant to watch. Ride safe.

@@mancavemotothe install went well, with one exception. For us mechanically challenged types, make sure and look UNDER the clutch to see how the cable attaches. I didn’t look and it was somewhat tricky getting the end of the cable on the new lever. There is a little round hole under the clutch and that’s where the ball end of the cable snaps in place. Thanks again for the video, love the levers. 0:11

Good video as per usual from Tony. I have just done an install of the equivalent Triumph machined lever kit on a Thruxton R and I offer this word of warning to anyone using Tony’s install on his bike as a guide to how easy it might be on the Thruxton R . I naively figured it would pretty much the same. It’s very different. The clutch lever is fitted very much as per Tony’s install and is a piece of cake. The brake lever is a real bugger to fit. The kit doesn’t include all the parts needed. You have to salvage several of them from the original lever which I can only presume this is to keep the cost of the kit down. That’s not so bad, but you then have a devil of a job getting the pivot bolt relocated because you’re working against the reloaded spring tension. Might be easier if you had the special factory tool referred to in the instructions but I didn’t have it. Almost needs another pair of hands.
