Hi Bert, I just found your channel and enjoy your videos. I've got the same model of Bonnie as you and have been contemplating doing the same airbox updates/O2 sensor deletes as you - just wanted to get your thoughts on where to start/what the best improvements are? Thanks

Hey there Nick, Thanks for tuning in. Happy to help in anyway I can... I'm no expert but here are my 2c... IMO the 02 Delete/AirBox Mod and AIS Delete with the tune is the absolute way to go. I did the AIS removal first and that makes the biggest difference in smoothing the "overrun/popping", as a side effect the bike runs a little cooler. That mod isn't really dependent on a tune. If you go any father with an exhaust/airbox mod you'll need a tune. I did the O2 and Airbox Baffle delete high flow filter/exhaust and TTP tune back to back. Since I'm filming I did a mod a day. But you could get all that done on an off day. I was advised not to run the new pipes with the stock tune and that the computer doesn't compensate that much like other/newer machines. Since all the mods, the bike has been dramatically transformed. Runs "healthier", Pops and crackle gone, HP and TQ up, and Throttle response is more linear. If you decide to go with a TTP tune, The only draw backs were the connection between the laptop/TTP cable and computer sometimes worked flawlessly and other times struggled to connect, And you need a compatible windows laptop. (I have a few more vids coming that address this and The airbox baffle mod). So if you do it, pull the headlight fuse and/or hook up a battery charger while you do it. If you're unsure of what tune to get, contact TTP with your setup/pipes and they will make a recommendation on what tune to get. Hope that helps you out.

Great Mike I appreciate the pointers and advice - it looks like I have some pending weekend jobs on the list! Out of interest have you considered removing the CA emission specific canister filter that is zip tied underneath as thats another mod that I've just learnt about.?

@@nickmowat4065 Yeah, You may wanna leave it on cause that's where the fuel vents to, So if you overfill your tank you'll have gas on the floor. I'll probably remove mine at some point. I don't think it affects anything performance wise... Not sure on that tho.
