Hi there Bert I hope this message finds you well, I’m reaching out in regards to the TTP tune I bought for my 2012 EFI Thruxton 900. I just installed a British Customs 2-1 exhaust, as well as did the air box delete with k&N pod filters, and removed the air injection/SAI system. When I go to load up the tune I never get a flashing red light at all. I’ve tried for 2 days straight and still no change not even getting the red flashing light, if you have any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. Best, Nico

@@nicholsxII Hi there. If you're not getting a red light, it may mean the bike isn't talking to the computer at all... Cause it should go Red, Amber, Green. The only things I would suggest is to uninstall and reinstall the drivers before plugging in your cable. Also make sure your cpu is compatible with the tune software. Lastly I hope you have their OBD cable... If none of the above works I would contact them directly. They're pretty great about returning emails. Haven't had to call before tho. Hope you get it sorted!

Thanks for the detailed how-to on this process. Getting ready to do the same tune on my 2012 Scrambler. How do you like it after logging some miles? Feel the difference in power? Any big drop in mileage? Is the stock clutch holding up ok? Cheers,

@@SecondHalfofLife I've put a few 1,000 on it since then. The bike just runs so much better than stock. Feels healthy. Power/Tq/Response is very noticeable. MPG's don't seem to suffer. I am riding it a little more spirited than I usually do. I think that's cause it added a lot more "fun factor" after all the mods/tweaks.

I had a nightmare connecting the tune on my 2008 Bonneville T100.. it took four attempts of up to 3 hours each. The first download connected but hadn't loaded correctly, causing a rich mixture and poor idle/low speed running and fouled plugs. I downloaded the recommended drivers half a dozen times. I contacted TTP in the UK for help. They advised me to keep trying. I was using the correct FTDI cable, which I had used on my Thruxton 900 several years ago, that bike had connected with no problems. The T100 connect eventually, but as I said, it was a nightmare and took approximately 8 hours combined efforts over four days. I was using my new Asus laptop with Windows 11 using no other drivers apart from the FTDI drivers recommended by FTDI themselves.

Woah. That sounds terrible. I did have to go back and adjust the TPS sensor and I couldn't get it to connect that night and killed the battery... Multiple attempts etc. The next day I tried again and it worked right away. 🤷‍♂️Brand new laptop as well.

@@bertsbike So you had to exit this program and connect Tune ECU, delete the codes and then start this again?

So I must have adding about 60 views to this video don’t my tune on my speedmaster. Thank you for your help. Does seem to run better and the dead spot in the throttle that that leads to a snappy throttle has gone. Can you adjust the idle on it or some way?

Anytime. Glad you got it sorted. On the T100 bonneville there's an Idle adjustment screw on the left side of the bike, it's a black knob. Not sure on the Speed Master tho. The other thing you may need to adjust is your TPS sensor. TTP have a recommended spec for this. You can check this when you are connected to the software. Cheers!

@@Judgeshred88 I don't think so, the tune sets the ECU. The Idle phase just resets the adaptations.

When I loaded it on my Thruxton 6 years ago, it took 15 minutes no problems. I even purchased a new FTDI cable from Ultimate Triumph Performance in Sydney, and that wouldn't work at all. I contacted them and they refunded the cost as the cables they had been supplied were Chinese pirate cables, they apologised. I'm paranoid about checking anything on the bike with the tune in case it all goes wrong again. It must be a common issue, I think, with the tune.

Ugh. That's bad news about the cables... In your case I would probably just get the bike on a dyno and do it that way... More money but would be a sure fire way to get your performance out of it.

Not that I'm aware of. I think that's Tune ECU and not TTP. But I'm new to the world of tuning bikes.
