I'm 53 years old. I feel sympathy with the same generation dudes who comment here. I love the 80's vibe of this song. I listened to 80's music when I was a teenager and I still listen to it 40 years later. Life goes by so fast and young time never last long. I think I had the great teenage years of my life. I'm older now, married and have kids, but still young, wild, and free.

It stays with you forever.

Is it the only time the greatest music ever was made ? Yes i miss those days and i desire to have a music revelution that would be reminiscent of these great music makers ,today please someone kill todays music or whatever you call it but its garbage how many of todays musician could truly make music happen like the finely tuned wizards of the past. And to those wizards i love you all and thank you all for sharing creating and being in our world at the time i experienced it all ......
@billwilliams38846 жыл бұрын
You're right it does send me back it a better more innocent world. Although we can't go back in time we're lucky to live in a time where we have instant access to things that remind us of our youth. The power of this music is amazing. Just hearing a certain song can take us back to amazing times in our life. they can remind us of our first kiss our first love or in my case my first car. It has the power to transcend space and time. It gives us a precious few minutes to forget about the horrible world we live in where thousands of children die everyday from hunger. Problems we could easily solve if we stopped hating and killing each because we look different believe in a different God of fight over land that doesn't really belong to us anyway. Maybe someday we will realize we are all on one big rock flying through space. Sorry guys didn't mean to go off on such a tangent. Please forgive the rambling of a old man I'm 61.

Agreed! Alot of this old school music came straight from the heart... and thats why it speaks to us. Much of todays music is lost in image and marketing. Worthless. I think we are blessed to have lived in the golden age of concert rock. To hold a ticket was to hold a bar of cold pressed latinum! Incidently... some bands STILL live on... just saw Maidens opening night of Book of Souls world tour in Ft Lauderdale....I WAS 15 again for a fleeting couple of hrs......Heaven!

In 2019, he still is ranked in the top 10...he still occasionally plays and you should go see him sometime. Getting old doesn't mean things fall apart. My grandfather played his piano until he died at 98.

My guess is that it's Rick Santers. I saw them when Yngwie opened and Rick was the second guitarist for that tour.

Damn! I saw these guys in '83 in LA. They rocked a sold out Forum and played for about 2 1/2 hrs. Smack dab in the middle of the British Invasions 2nd generation. Maiden, Priest, and a gang of other hard rockers. I was very fortunate in that if they toured and had an LA show (rarely did a big group want to miss a fatass paycheck for packing the Colesium or Rose Bowl (both 100k+). I had a rich buddy (everyone should have one of these). Actually, his parents were PHAT RICH. Now n then, his dad needed the silver ghost (RR) and we'd make do with the Benz, but we ALWAYS valet parked and no tickets ever more than 10-15 rows back from stage. However, like 10-15 of the 200+ concerts Ive been to, I was front row center (seems buddys dad does biz with radio station that comps the first 3-5 rows of floor. Triumph is given credit for 'Fightin' the Good Fight', but the content of their songs is so deep and cascades with sharp vocals and timing, plus tons of chicks were trying to get backstage (we did not lol). Only a few concerts could I honestly say were better...(metalicca, rush, boston, ozzy., Ironically invading for second helping. Yes, memories. the 80s were last of the GOOD DAYS IN AMERICA... MEMORIES

A very underrated band. The positivity of their lyrics were seen as hokey, but I can appreciate them. And they produced great melodies with top notch technical ability. The whole band was very good. And I don't know that there's ever been someone in rock music with the guitar skills and singing ability in one package like Rik Emmett.
