The front tyre size in the spec sheet is listed as 17 inches instead of 19 inches. The fact that the wheel is actually 19-inches has been discussed extensively in the video and the typo is regretted.

Just rode it today, it looks much much better than the Speed400. It’s also impressive that a lot of stuff is included and the pricing is fantastic too. It’s good a nice midrange as well. The issue is it’s quite tall (I’m 5’10), it’s not got much of a low end and the mirrors didn’t seem to adjust well enough to get a nice view behind. Great bike for the price!

I own the Speed 400 and i'm guessing the Scrambler 400x is not going to be whole lot different to the Speed 400. While I quite enjoy riding the bike, it has been an absolute disaster till now owning one. Khivraj Triumph Chennai has been absolute rubbish as well. Valvetrain noise which Khivraj Triumph refused to acknowledge and I had to bring the roof down in the showroom, make a scene and write multiple emails to Bajaj/KTM/Triumph before they sent someone from the factory and replaced the entire head assembly - valves, guides, springs, camshafts, rocker arms and all. They were also quite clueless to the cause and have as of now not bothered to disclose the issue which seems to be prevalent on multiple engines to varying degrees though the rhetoric has been.. Do a 1000 kms and the 1st oil change will make it butter smooth. Yeah right. I was born yesterday. Some examples are smooth and refined (esp the ones put on test ride duty) and some are pure garbage and need some serious intervention like mine. Now the cone set has failed and is awaiting replacement (parts are shared with the pulsar NS, yes the part nos match). The bike was delivered with a dent on the tank (tank replaced on Day 1), the odd nuts and bolts loose (exhaust header, exhaust heat shields etc), no coolant in the reservoir, scratch on the instrument console (the buggers wipe it with the same soiled cloth they use to clean the wheels and other muck on delivery day and there were too many other problems to deal with to really fuss about this scratch on day 1), bubbling paint on the headlight rim (awaiting replacement next), bar end mirrors not torqued properly that they would keep spinning around the bar, tyre pressures set to 36PSI front and back (Reco is 26 and 33 respectively) and almost zero fuel in the tank (gauge was not showing a single bar). Talking about fuel and tank, the fuel gauge has a mind of its own. I've owned the 1st gen Caliber, Eliminator 175, Pulsar 200 2nd gen DTSi, Avenger 200 Oil Cooled, 1st gen KTM Duke 200, 2nd Gen KTM Duke 390 all from the Bajaj stable and never faced such issues either with upfront quality or the service center listening to your issues. Put a Triumph sticker on it and they believe the name overshadows crappy quality levels and even crappier service support from Khivraj Triumph Chennai. A huge no of parts are from the Bajaj stable ... yes... part nos match for a huge bunch of components. This bike is an amalgamation of the Duke, Dominar, Pulsars, Avengers and others. Nothing bad about that. Keeps cost down. But stop pretending that this has come all the way from Hinckley. They need to sort the bike out and their dealers out more before people start seeing it for what it really is. I still like the bike tho. Just wish the support was something to crow about.

Bro you broke my heart.. I was soo looking forward to get this bike, but what you're describing is exactly what I'm terrified by. The problem is : i wouldn't even recognise the valve train noice and would just keep guessing why my bike failed to start one fine morning. I can't even get a waiter to replace my soup if there was a fly in it, pushing these bastards to replace the entire valve train is out of my syllabus 😂. Hard pass on this one I guess.

@@abhisheksoni2980 Stay away for now. Let the demand taper off and let them sort it out. Give it a year. It's still a great bike though. @@lakshman0680 Would really appreciate if you can share your ownership experience after a few months. Maybe replying here or if you don't mind, sharing your ID so that i can follow you? I've a question for now - You've owned multiple Bajaj/KTM bikes and have you had a smooth ownership experience with all of them? I feel KTM bikes are quite unreliable in general, and the Duke has seen a lot of issues with the engine, so wanted to know.

Review from owner after using it for 9 months:- I got the first scrambler 400 x in India. It is a beautiful bike but it can also be your nightmare during monsoons. The dirt is getting accumulated near the rear wheel and showing warning lights causing trouble while riding in rain and also the dirt keeps splashing through the front and rear wheel on to the rider and the pillion rider due to poor design. I've already raised a complaint with the triumph. Let's see how soon they can address this problem.

11:30 I don’t think that, this 400X is a thread or proper competitor to the upcoming 450. Himalayan 450 is built on a completely different league, it’s more of a hardcore oriented, but this time will deliver some performances too unlike it’s predecessor. So, I don’t think RE will priced it by keeping their minds with the pricing of 400X. They will priced 450 as they always do in typical RE fashion, but people will buy it also like hot cakes. Future sales figures will tell more clear story.

A great review as always Rishaad bro. Am feeling bad for RE as they have to launch the Himalayan 450 amidst lot of competition now. And am for sure it will have many of the electronic aids and other must have features missing to ensure they price it aggressively. But it would be fun because it will push the RE now which has till date been sitting in a very sweet spot without much competition. Let's wait and see. Great review. When describing the comfort level for varied heights, it would be more accurate to mention inseam length than overall rider height. Torso to leg ratios vary dramatically between riders. For example, someone can be 6 foot but only have 30-32 inch inseam which would change how they fit.

@AnjaneyaGaadadhaari
@AnjaneyaGaadadhaari Жыл бұрын
Well to begin with, the aluminium handlebars would fit only for the speed 400 because it's for the street riding, But in this case you have to do some trail riding also, So for that they haven't provided those Handlebars which we get in Speed 400, So for that just like how Rishaad had his story of his bike accidentally falling over in that scenario those aluminium wouldn't be as helpful as those steel handlebars, maybe it would took the impact but if it got bent out then it won't be manageable to take it to the nearest workshop or rather to those Triumph workshop which is non existent at the moment, So in the steel handlebars if the bars do bent then it is repairable but if you want to put those aluminium bars then it would be straight up replacement, In another scenario it would be because of cost cutting if someone has the ability to purchase and install, then he could go for it but, scramblers and ADV has these types of handlebars so that you can take the bend out and continue the journey without the hassle of replacement the whole thing if you're stranded out in the middle of nowhere or some areas where Triumph service won't be avaliable or accessible, So these things would be on the fly manageable things without the complexity of those replacement parts, and the cost which comes with it's labour,
