Way too much cut out for the reduced price it offers. Lower engine power, no traction control, telescopic forks, ride by wire stripped to throttle cable, aluminium swingarm replaced with steel box swingarm. Brushed steel exhaust replaced for cheap activa ass exhaust, no bar end mirrors, removed engine immobilizer from key, smaller and cheaper tyres. WTF triumph? These stripped features are atleast 30-40k worth. I was awaiting the Tiger 400, disappointed bro

compression ratio is much lesser, hence will have more or less the same fuel efficiency as the 250. Also, will be much smoother and since torque appears much earlier based on specs mentioned, riders won't have to ring it out to the tee to extract rotational force with distance from the engine and wheels

People are abusing Triumph for Speed T4 but i think its a good move business wise. Because you got Hero Maverick 440, Jawa 350 twins , Classic 350 , Yezdi Roadster/ ADV, Honda CB350/Highness/RS & Dominar 400 in that 2 to 2.25lakhs ex showroom price bracket. This is for people who want to cruise at relaxed highway speeds but want that Premium Triumph quality at lower price. This Speed T4 will be their entry level bike till 250cc roadster arrives in next 1 or 2 years. That i believe will challenge Hunter 350 for real. My only concern is they should have provided atleast radial tyres from MRF or CEAT if they are not giving traction control ,Even Radial tyre at rear would be fine ; Hunter 350 also gets a radial tyre at rear even when its a basic bike.

This bike is a great alternative to all those long stroke alternatives in 2 to 2.25 lakhs. People will buy it even after abusing it . That's something I have seen even during the launch of Yamaha fzx . First people abused the shit out of it. Then went on to buy it because it was comfortable as hell and looked better than fz v3 to some people. So yes like it or not , people will buy it. I know this pattern as I have seen it before. 😂

2 weeks back i was contemplating on waiting for the new bike but got the delivery of the previous Speed 400 in black. Glad I did not wait as this is like Poor Man's Triumph. Speed 400 was itself a Poor man's triumph but this is like Chindhi garib. Plus its not like a great discount in price.... Only 20k Down. Seriously very underwhelming from triumph but I guess that the good thing for me is that i got the better Triumph 400

Obviously not but from the brands average pricing 50 lakhs is significantly less. Same goes with triumph. Look at the next price range og triumph…. Its like 8-9 lakhs…. Speed and scrablmer 400 are at like 60-70 percent discount so yeah it is a poor mans triumph

@@px6497 i think that triumph initially introduced the speed and scram 400 to bump up their sales in low cost segment but did not get enough response from indian market as expected. So they have introduced even cheaper models to entice customers only in india. Coz i checked the American website and the T4 variant is not showcased.

They may come offer discounts on this one making the price difference even the deal more lucrative instead of keeping the price under 2 lac and making it look like a sub sub-standard product (Typical Indian Mentality). Speed 400 is anyway available as a better product if someone wants to buy.

What they did to KTM ? KTM was always aspirational brand and never cut corners and were always priced high without compromises. Yes they did take the 200 and 390 engines and put it in ns , rs , dominar etc but that went to sell on Bajaj brand and not KTM . Here Triumph brand image is getting hampered because the downgrade happened to Triumph engine bikes and not on Bajaj

When it comes on road, it's just 20K difference between speed t4 (2.6L) & speed 400 (2.8L). For that you're losing most of the basic things which the speed 400 got like traction control, telescopic suspension etc, which doesn't justify the price tag difference at all
