Always loosen your brake pad bolts for no better word before you take off your caliper it makes it much easier

The information provided is not factual enough, ie these brake tubes both go to the other caliper.

It is all very well getting in behind the exhaust to loosen the bolt with your new gadget wrench... BUT and this is a BIG BUT...HOW DO YOU RE-TORQUE????????????????????????? REMOVE THE EXHAUST NO ?? hahahahhahahahahahhahaha. Apart from that a good video.

I think my torque wrench probably would do it just fine, if not, exhaust has to be temporarily removed to torque those bolts to spec... But I just tightened them by giving them at least 1/3 more turn after tightening.

did I miss the step when you reset the brake pistons?

I did not squeeze the lever when I took off the pads so there is no need to reset. The pads Fits right back in after clean.

@@TheGizmoGarage bit confused - I've always had to reset the pistons; so take the top off the brake cylinder and then push the pistons back, otherwise there's too much meat on the new pads to get the caliper back into position; the pads would jam on the rotor as the pistons are so far out.

@@princeofdenmark9142 my old pad was still in great shape so piston is not sticking out much, I simply switched to an organic pad to quiet down noise for local commute.

@@TheGizmoGarage ah, I see, cool. I've only changed my pads when they were pretty low, so going from old to fresh meant using a clamp to compress the pistons back - hope no-one got caught out if they miss that step - can you recommend a good service manual?
