Great fun , I like the stag engines , iv got a stag engine inboard a van guess what , yep it's fine , built stag engines , had them in for services, no problems, in fact most stags now are reliable, true they had quality issues , cheap gaskets , no block cleaning, etc ,worst still people using tap water , instead of proper coolant, thanks for sharing. !

I would never have been able to do that on my triumph. My 70 pi had too lumpy a cam. And the air box was round 😂

I cant believe people are still saying that the problem with their engine is casting sand found in the block, this may have been the case 40 or 50 years ago but all of these engines must by now have been rebuilt at least once or twice and the real reason for them needing rebuilds now is that they are just worn out again.
