That sound never gets old . I like what you’ve done to the paint scheme had thought about doing a similar thing is that a wrap over part of the tank and seat cowl. I’ve slowly been blacking out all the silver parts with cerakote

These look exactly like the Cone Engineering mufflers that I have on my TTR, but they sound so much better. Might have to swap them for these.

I was told these are actually copies of Cone Engineering. I bought these because they have removable baffles (and they're cheaper) I've not heard Cone's in person.

I’ve just put these on my Thruxton RS, they are pretty loud, my ears were ringing after a ride. I think I’m going to put the baffles back in and may modify them to get the volume just right

Do you notice if the bike runs cooler even with the cat in place? I am just wondering if letting the cat breath reduces any heat?

I've never removed the cat, so I can't say. I have heard that they do run cooler with no cat though.

Hello. I’m also riding a 2021 Thruxton Rs. I’m thinking about these exhausts but I can’t find any news about the approval/ratification for France and about contamination Euro 5-4. Street legal? The uk dealer doesn’t answer to my questions. Do you have any ideas ?

did you have an issue with the right side muffler hitting the swing arm? And not fitting on the header properly? The left side went on smooth… the right side doesn’t fit / clear anything

@@cheyannno123 Thanks, I'm still experimenting. The exhaust is really too load to have the mic under the seat, it causes the audio to clip, so I then have ot try and recover it with software... it works to an extent, but not ideal. If the mic is i my backpack, there's more wind noise, and it can be a bit muffled. I'm going to try adding some sound proofing foam to the inside if my seat compartment, and see what that sounds like.

Owner of A&J cycles said on one the forums that weslake bought a pair of cone engineering shortys, then basically copied their designs and started making them themselves, not as high quality finish, but almost half the price. And the end result is the same. Just ordered some for my speed twin.

I heard that too, however, the Cones don't come with baffles, or the provision to screw one in, there's no threaded hole. I didn't know how loud they'd be, so I wanted that option.

Hey mate, I've got a 2018 Thruxton 1200 - I have V&H mufflers with DB killers removed (west coast, not Californian) and a Motone decat X-pipe. The engine really does sigh with relief when decated, as evident by the drop in revs per speed. Do yourself a favour and remove that 3kg piece of crap, you won't regret it 😉
