Triumph TR6 EFI Fuel Injection Part 2. Manifold Assembly and Install

Assembly of the different parts of the manifold and assembly onto the engine.
Extra parts needed might be:
3/8" vacuum hose
RTV Silicone gasket maker
Blue Loctite
New bolts and nuts to attach manifold to engine
Dremel or some type of cut off wheel to cut throttle cable to correct length

heres a story you may find interesting, I have owned a 1973 tr6 since new, I emigrated to canada in 1980 and had the car exported here, its right hand drive fuel injected with a metering unit and lucas pump. the vehicle is registered after much frustration which I wont bore you with, unfortunately no one in canada has the experience to service or maintain the system . it has 49,000 original miles and hasnt been driven for 20 yrs and sadly just sits in my garage, Im 75 yrs old and and not a mechanic, the vehicle is original magenta with an added hardtop to match, its virtually rust free and was undersealed ziebart from new, Ive strugled with trying to get it running and had inexperienced mechanics putter around with it to try to get it running, I was considering the bosch fuel pump conversion to replace the lucas pump which I was told didnt function properly, every time I try to focus on getting it on the road again ends in disappointment and just more expense, I was surprised to see your new injection set up and was unaware such a system was available as it seems to be a pretty straightforward set up doing away with the metering unit, Im scared to ask the price for such a set up, just thought you may find interest in my post thank you very much Bill

Thanks for sharing Bill. You may already know of it, but there's a couple other channels that deal with TR6's. ChefTush and Elin Yakov's Rusty Beauties. I know ChefTush recently had a series on the english fuel injection. Hopefully that's helpful to you.

@@hollywoodd3191 I'm in UK and have purchased the manifold, sensors & switches from Ramtech, I'll be buying the ECU from a UK supplier. I'm particularly interested and keen to know how you're going to tackle the fuel lines. I can't decide whether to run PTFE stainless braided hose the length of the car or use hard pipe. Also, what do you plan to do about the fuel tank? I'm told the fuel return lines & port on the fuel tank (Pi) is too narrow, so I'm thinking of fitting a AN-6 weld-on fitting to the top & bottom of the tank.

@@RichardMcK I'll hopefully have the next video done soon. I bought a new gas tank from Moss motors and it actually has a return line built in. One of the threaded bungs on the top has a steel rod welded inside the tank. That rod goes down into a swirl pot. So all you would need to do is get an AN adapter to match those threads. The particular threads on my new tank are 1/2-20 UNF. As for the fuel line, I plan to follow the frame rail the same way the stock fuel line went. But I still need to see if it will fit correctly. I would check if a hard line can handle fuel injection pressures. I know some can't.

As a Tr-250 owner I've entertained this upgrade for a while now. In my cars present state of tune it's at about 140 wheel HP. Wondering what kind of gains I could expect....
