The album is called Shogun because it’s a sick name, but also in part because of the bookend songs. Kirisute Gomen and Shogun are influenced by Japanese history and mythology (Kirisute Gomen was a right of samurai to kill anyone of lower caste for anything they viewed as a slight against them). The rest of the songs are mostly about Greek mythology, except for Down From the Sky (nuclear war) and Insurrection (Lucifer’s fall from Heaven)
