Only Trivium could somehow make an live performance tighter and cleaner than the actual studio recording. 🙌

Imo Linkin Park does a does a better job with their live performances than some of the studio recordings but that could be because I'm very biased towards Linkin Park. But this does sound amazing. I wish Trivium as a whole would re-record some of their older albums with Matt's matured voice and ofc Alex Bent as their drummer. I'm thinking of Ascendancy, In Waves, and Shogun specifically for them to re-record because some of these live performances sound amazing with Alex and Matt's voice fully matured. Songs like Suffocating Sight, Throes Of Perdition, and Dusk Dismantled would sound great if they were remastered.

I may bee the minority here and iv lived trivium since ascendancy came out. But Matt's performances these past few years have been very underwhelming. And I get that he messed his vocal chords up and protect his voice. but so many other of my favorite vocalists have blew there vocal chords, Jesse leach, Corey Taylor. and they managed to recover and still be able to sound the same as on the records they make. Having Corey do all the screaming is just kind of lame.

I felt the same way when Matt stopped screaming as much but it takes time to rebuild the confidence and to scream properly using the right techniques not to mention him having a fear of it ending his career … in the end I’m just thankful they are still crushin’ it
@Storticon.
@Storticon. Жыл бұрын
@@embersascendancy8682 agreed, some artists have different ways of recovering, and he is still pretty young for how long he has been performing and his voice is his money maker. he does still go all out when it comes to albums. The past 3 albums they made since silence in the snow are amazing. Even silence is a great album considering their were no harsh vocals.

Did you see them live on their fall tour? They were amazing. Honestly I feel like these coppertail videos aren't doing justice to how good they sound live; they may have had an off day, but also the mix on this concert recording is a tad weird. As for Matt, he did plenty of screams live when I saw them this fall and his singing sounded quite good too. He intentionally uses a softer technique when singing live though; not as much grit, because when doing gritty singing for 10 weeks you damage your voice and then can't sing well at half the shows
@Storticon.
@Storticon. Жыл бұрын
@@KarmaHoudiniGaming yeah iv been watching everything that I can, and the band does sound tighter than ever. They all sound super good. blows my mind they are 10+ albums in and still sound as good as they do.
