You didn’t mention how adult trolls eye color fills in as they age. Also I don’t think any caste is male or female only but certain castes are more commonly a certain gender, jades and fuchsias are almost always female while Indigos and purples are commonly males.

@Funk McLovin I think you have the sweeps/years wrong. A sweep is about 2 years. A "few dozen" sweeps implies at least 3 dozen or more sweeps. This means that even lower low bloods still have around the same lifespan as humans, around 72 years. Granted this could be more or less. Just thought I would point that out.

i also do believe it was confirmed that the candy red blood was a mutation of the limeblood caste, which also makes sense fitting in with the cherub lime/red color pallete. the one power karkat was shown to have, at least slightly, was to calm highbloods which was shown with gamzee. the text for the shoosh and paps were pink and lime green. lord english probably had them killed for being lime green

"A few dozen sweeps" for Rust Bloods is interesting to me as a low Troll lifespan because that implies at least a lifespan of 78-ish years. Even low-balling it, they'd live to about 60, which is... really average for a human. It kind of implies that Trolls, on average, live far, far longer than humans normally do. 1 Sweep = 2.16666667 years 12 Sweeps = 26 years "A few dozen" Sweeps = 26n years (52, 78, etc)

Even if olivebloods and jadebloods are midbloods, they're still considered lowbloods. Same goes to tealbloods and cobaltbloods, but they're highbloods instead of lows.

Come to think of it... maybe the jadebloods' role as keepers of the brooding caverns may possibly be socially endowed, since it was once mentioned to Kanaya in Act 6 Intermission 3 that a rainbow drinker is more likely to exist among jadebloods with more access to sunlight (i.e. Kanaya). Keep in mind that jadebloods are rarely allowed outside of the dark brooding caverns, as elaborated upon in Hiveswap.

Thing about canonicity: Homestuck proper, friensim, and hiveswap are the only confirmed CANON. The epilogues are "Dubiously canon", meaning they are possibly canon because it doesn't shock with it, but isn't fully Canon. But that means that anything expanding from the epilogues is by nature NO CANON. For example: Pesterques literally reject canon in the end. Homestuck^2 is "Beyond canon", both in story and name establish itself as NO CANON. Additional this both works are connected, so that reaffirm it. You can consider the information in No canon works as possibly addition information, but take it with salt.

This does cancel any chance of reboots or a new H.G, Rauling tweets incident. Basicly, Hussie know, and has even reafirm every now and again, homestuck proper is done, anything he says or does dont affect it own structure, it can add yes (Being "Posibly canon") but the moment it contradicts and shoke with the original Canon it becomes NO canon. That is what happen with Pesterquest. Even if Hussie aprove and participate, Pesterquest itself challenge and proclaims itself the NEW BETTER CANON, which is and admission on itslef of being NO Canon. A fanfic. a thing to underestand: Fanfic arent bad. i read way more fanfics than actual pieces. One has to diferentate withing Original Canon Source and Fanfic material. maybe you like the fanfic more, (i have my fare share of such circunstances) or maybe the source is more concistant. in this context, we are exploring a topic from the Original material, and thus needs to diferentiate what is fan added and what not, otherwise confusion and inconcistances became present.

So your pesterquest comparison doesn't work. Its not a fanfic, neither is hs2 its an official continuation. If you don't want to consider hs2 canon thats on you but its been stated to be an official continuation and has Hussie's involvement that is as far removed from a fanfic as possible. Thats like saying all spider-man comics are non-canon other than stan lee's original run.

Oh come on. Why does everyone say that mutants can only be candy red?! Mutants have the opposite color of their normal blood colour, for ex: Karkat has red because its the opposite of lime, and the red gets saturated and boom u have candy red. Or when in Hiveswasp act 2 a stranger messages us, they appear to have bright violet (ik its not violet can't find the shade but its similar) text, so if u take the color wheel you get olive/lime. (I haven't been able to figure it out) So yeah, mutants are the opposite saturated colors of their bloodcoloor

Very interesting overall, I would have to congratulate you, is not easy feet compile all this info. So here is some additional points and mistakes: -Trolls are half Insect half Mammal, they are born and live as insect during their childhood and are semi mammals (Most closely to Felines) the rest. So its no wonder their diet concist mostly of other insects, fungus and their own, Yap, cannibalism, very common among insects. -From hiveswap latest chapter we get the implication horns work to not only show Trolls health but also indicate certain qualities of them, including reproductive ones -During Homestuck is hinted that the change in names is mostly a way to degrade low bloods more, being that high blood can use normal colloquial "English". This is the same with technology, education and any other commodity. This way of separation of class is also in human history, for example during the last years of the british as an empire the low class use very bad and antiquated vocabulary, while the high class try differencing themselves by more refine language, specially adopting foreign term, like Administration and accountant, which where adopted from the french. -Though the Hemoespectrum is separated in 12 classes, within them there is a spectrum of color, most likely the class separation is social to maintain a hierarchy structure. So is a spectrum, just socially mark. -Population size may be a effect of their qualities, with indigo living only like 40 years and physically weak (Psyonics don't count) they are most likely to die soon, and thus sick reproduction more. In contrast blues and violets are physically strong, live manny years and are mostly immune to Psyionics, so they don't feel the need to reproduce as much. All this may also be considered by the mother grubs, so that because low bloods are weak and high blood strong then compensate by numbers. Is known human do the same in times of war and faming. -Also from Hiveswao act2: The troll ecosystem is very different to earth, thus it infrastructure and technology too. All technology is semi biological, specifically insect like. In this case Bees, Bees don't use Polem, but a fruit call "Brain Fruit" to produce "Honey", its indicate is perfect as a conduct and code processor, thus Bees are link with cybernetics, hardware and software, and why yellows are adept to both. This also explains why Psyonics power can be use as energy source. -During homestuck proper is point out that Serkets having Psyonics is a very rare mutation, and that goes for her eye too, which is the one giving her limited X-Rey kind of vision (Or "Vision eightfold" as she calls it). And thus Ardata having them is also rare, and would explain why hers are weaker in comparison. -17:07 "Royals are easy to kill" did I heard that wrong? During Polipa chapter she express that to kill a violet she needed to get a very lethal poison, a special dagger and stab Ina very precise point to kill a violet blood. During homestuck Eridan use his Hope powers to kill Feferi, in addition to Kanaja by a single strike, and its theorize Kanaja use a part of her space power to kill Eridan, in addition to her being a ranbowdrinker (Aka: A troll hunting machine). Also, to kill the empress there was needed the combine strength of NO LESS than 4 full god tier players. This is also referenced in Pesterques with Eridan surviving being Malled like nothing happen. It's theorize sea dwellers are so durable because their bodies are made to survive the pressure of the dep water and the very aggressive fauna and flora of alternia. -It's implicated the Vantas line is lime blood in origin, but mutated to have the candy red color. -If I remember correctly another defining characteristic of adult is that their eyes fill completely with their blood color. Adding to their imposing pressens. -Trolls don't do production because as with the Carpenter Drones most is automated. This is confirmed further in hiveswap act 2, with a drone managing the train and automated thicket booths. There is certain shops and low tier jobs, but mostly they seem to be done by low blood who where restricted such automated commodities, or decide to do them by themselves. -Personally I find the specific quadrant explanation be very vague and lacking, specially the difference with Red and Pale. With the former just being compare to human love (literally just that) and pale as best friends, but later was directly mention by the author and additional writers that Pale IS romantic and not just platonic. I have a lot to talk of this so I would save it to the next par. -Gender was mostly explain, just let me add this: Considering the numerous ways and context they are use is safe to assume "Bulge" is some type of penis ( NOT a tentacle) and "Seed flap" akin to a vagina and maybe uterus (tho, trolls don't gestate their offspring inside themselves but use the mother grub for that, there speculation if this is natural or of artificial design). The point, trolls have both Bulges and Seed flaps, so in a sense Trolls are hermaphrodites, which would explain their bisexual tendency and more "Hetero" or "Gay" inclinations being pensive as fetishistic -The thing of female being more imposing and aggressive than males fits with their characteristic of being part insect part mammal, where female are the more aggressive and dominant variants. Trolls do seem to have biologically different male and female bodies, seemingly in the same way as humans, with "bone lumps" and all variations of that only ever attributed to male trolls and breasts only ever attributed to girls. Which also lines up with how only female trolls are drawn with breasts of course. It's just that their gender doesn't really serve a real purpose, as far as I can tell

In the video it was said that royal bloods are easy to kill and I'm a bit confused by that, please correct me if I'm wrong but aren't they stronger than the other casts? In friendsim on one of Karako's bad endings you fight some violet bloods with him and despite his brute strength, natural purple blood strength, and weaponry the violet bloods aren't even that bothered by being attacked, if I remember correctly. In the dancestor friendsim game, I forget the name of it right now, there are many times where it references Meenah's overwhelming physical strength and how easy it is for her to survive explosions, kill others, and just all around do super human acts of strength. This obviously doesn't negate the idea that there are trolls with lower blood that could hypothetically take down someone of a higher cast, after all Eridan did kill Feferi in the end and Karako and Mituna are not the most physically empowered trolls of their cast, but if we consider both these cases cannon, and any others that can be mentioned that I just don't remember right now, would it be safer to say that royal bloods are even more physically powerful than high bloods or do they win because of their social standing and other strengths?

Ardata also shows Mind-control powers, as a quick aside about Ceruleanbloods. To the point she can actually control humans which is something Vriska cannot do. Also, Ceruleans live WAY longer than Teals (One of the Serkets, either Vriska or Mindfang, laments that their Teal counterpart would die naturally LONG before they ever did.) Also, all Highbloods are incredibly strong. Gamzee did more damage in one shot to the Black King than almost anyone else, and we see, in HS2, Vriska literally lifts a car and throws it into the air, and later tells Vrissy "you're way stronger than the humans", or something to that effect.

Anyone knows, by the possibility of two specific genetics to be involved , if the result can be of a totally different blood? Or is it a must for one or the other? or can change, but only if it is in range or half? (ex Violet Blood and Indigo Blood, has the child violet or indigo only? can they have a purple? or blood genetics is out the window and they can generate a rust blood? We only saw a Vriska n Kanaya bebe (the troll girl helping kanaya) and she has the lower blood of the two I just dont want to have a highblood family with 3 highbloods and one adopted lowblood, I really wish at least the not adopted child could be of lower blood too

In hiveswap friendsim(only Lanque)and hiveswap act 2 (anyone in the trial)the least symbolic depictions of the trolls have noses, and since that dosen't go against or contradict anything in homestuck it's bassically confirmed they do have them. This applies to ears, eyelashes and eyebraws as well.

there are more than two genders on alternia, non-binary trolls such as cirava and charun exist but i have a theory that they are rare bc their social role is more apathetic and chill so its harder for them to survive in the society full of more ambitious binary-identified trolls judging the whole gender of trolls by only two characters is not ok but this is all we have for now
