I could care less what you do with yourself as long as it makes you happy that includes being trans but don't expect me to live in your fantasy land with you by demanding me to call you your "preferred pronouns" and leave children out of it because they don't know what they want at that age let them grow up to be an adult and make these choices. I sure as hell didn't know I was a heterosexual male until I was in like 5th or 6th grade and even then I know people that didn't figure out they were gay or bisexual until they were in high school but you think a child knows what gender they want to be at age 8 when that topic shouldn't have ever been in the child's vocabulary in the first place. Let children be children so they can enjoy their innocence while they have it and when they are old enough then let them tell you what they are when they're ready. I bet you money this child had no clue what "trans" was till some adult brought this adult conversation up to this child. My husband is a therapist for kids at risk of s**cide and self-h**m. He sees a lot of queer kids (trans, nonbinary, gay, bi, lesbian, what have you) in practice and most of the time, the crushing depression they experience is exacerbated not by their identity or any kind of confusion about it (plenty of kids who are still questioning themselves), but from the sense that either their family, school, or the world at large refuses to just allow them to exist as they are. This mom is absolutely right in thinking changing a kids pronouns (and maybe even having to change them back one day) is preferable to writing a kids obituary. She's raising an articulate, confident kid (who looks like she's going to be a handful one day). Also, these young ladies are amazing- they truly give me hope for the future.

Playing Barbies but they’re sword fighting) They moved away when we were in first grade, but we met up again when we were fourteen as our families had stayed in contact. We both came out to each other and it was both hilarious and emotional, and we became friends again like nothing. We were both lucky to have very supportive families and it turned out they’d kept us being trans secret from each other so we could come out to each other for this moment. One of my best memories.

🏳️⚧️ My grandson started questioning his gender identity at FOUR YEARS OLD. He'd never had any exposure to the concept. It was just something he felt inside. At 5 years old, HE ASKED to get a short haircut and to change his name. His parents are 100% supportive and are taking it one step at a time. I'm soooo proud of them all! Sadly, I'm terrified for their future because they live in a heavily republican state. It shouldn't have to be that way😡.

That's not an ally that's abuse, because the child will agree. I was also saying "i want to be a girl" at the same age, and if my mother convinced me to be trans, so that I'll go down the path of transition and mutilating my body through hormones and surgery, i would've actually had gender dysphoria because I'm a MALE not a trans woman. Isn't that ironic, to give people gender dysphoria, when that's what you're trying to treat💀

@noimnotakpoppfpsheacy2526 Nobody is convincing anyone to be trans. The mom is letting her child express herself and supporting what she wants. God as in Christianity? If so, why are you supporting this? We still need to love them, but this is sinful. For this conversation, I will assume you are Christian. The Bible tells us in many parts of scripture that gay and trans people are sinful. Some verses to know are Deuteronomy 22:5, Leviticus 18:22, Romans 1:27, and John 3:16. I hope this helps you.

The kids grilling you really made me smile 😊 Your absurdity was just tolerable enough for them to talk and share their very clear views. Showed that they are strong critical thinkers in a fun way. The conversation with the Mom and 7 year old was so incredibly authentic and sincere and endearing. Parents whom truly love their children know who their kids are, and that is not their's to control of another autonomous human being, teaching them how to behave, socialize, emotionally regulate, live physically healthy, with balanced goals and intentions, and well with the world, no matter whom they are. The sheer difference between what baseless yet very socially harmful, and physically endangering, accusations are being cast and what families live is a very different story and experience. They need our support, our voice to protect them from hate and crimes based on the spreading of hate.
