I put inline single hooks on my rapala 20' and 30' raps. Makes unhooking a lot easier and safer. If I'm into a lot of fish I crush the barbs.

On all of my combos I use 50 lb braid to a barrel swivel, then 30lb mono leader to a clip. That way if I want to troll or fish lures I can and it is simple to take off and attach a premade leader/hook combo for live lining

I just got 2 of the X rap 30’s, what is the best way to troll them and where do you recommend in the Boston harbor area? Thanks

I like to troll at 3-5mph in 30-60 feet of water. I also let out a ton of line, I try and get the lure as far away from the boat as possible. You just got to make sure you dont put out so much you get spooled if you have a big fish on. Try finding places where the elevation of the seabed changes drastically. These "Ledges" typically hold fish who are trying to ambush bait. I would try around Boston Light, that is where I have the most success. As always, if you see birds swarming go where they are. Hopefully this is helpful!
