@@frenchynoob I didn't put it down. I only said that legacy was better. And I used to love the first one, until I grew up an watched it objectively and realised, that, while Tron is technically and visually groundbraking for its time, the story is mediocre and so is some of the acting. Tron Legacy wasn't groundbraking in any way, except mabe for the soundtrack being one of the best of all time, but it was overall a better movie than Tron, especially in regards to story and acting.

22:14: "And then Clu went rogue!" Well, not really. He's a program. He was doing exactly what he was told, like a program does. "Perfect" is such a broad term, so easily misinterpreted. The film becomes grand, almost Shakespearean tragedy, because Kevin is ultimately at fault. Clu was essentially Kevin's other "child," and he unintentionally gave that "child" bad instructions, bad education, and Clu could only act on what Kevin had told him to do.

"Orphan Black" is another favorite. Bruce was also in a series called "How the West was Won" about a family moving from Virginia to Oregon in the mid-1800's. Very well done: Emmy winner and highly rated. Pilot was a 2-hour TV movie. That was followed by a 3-episode mini-series, then a TV series of 25 episodes over two seasons.

We don't know if or how it will tie into Legacy. There's been talk of a rebooted sequel and there's been talk of it being a continuation. The only thing we do know is that it's based on a script that was written at the time this came out as an intended direct sequel to Legacy.

Absolutely top notch score by Daft Punk. I listen to it now and again still. And this movie is much better than the hate it gets. It's not the best movie in the world, but it's a fun Tron movie with a great score and is worth it just for the visual festival that is almost the entire movie.

Hi again Addie!😊 The planned direct sequel to this film was scrapped by Disney. The new film "Tron: Ares" (2025) will be a standalone sequel. The film is already in post-production with a theatrical release October 10, 2025.😉

Great movie, also love the original. I was in university taking my Computer Science degree and the original TRON blew us away. We grew up with "Pong", "Pac-Man", "Space Invaders", etc. for computer graphics. My 1982 TI-99/4A computer was just 256×192 pixels and 16 colours. Yes, amazing what a few decades can do. It still mind-boggling to think of what my Nintendo Switch can do. The amount of data being processed / moved / displayed ...😮😮 The only disappointment after this movie, was Daft Punk's "Random Access Memories" album. This movie's soundtrack had me psyched for their next album, wasn't for me.

I saw the original in theaters. Would have this one, but Disney marketing lead me to believe it was a fake 3D fest and that makes me very ill. The soundtrack lead me to watch on DVD. Very good sequel. "Good-bye, kiddo" gets me every time.

Hey Addy! Shout out from your favorite US Marine! This was one of my favorite films in the 80's! I didn't even hear of Tron Ares 2025 until I watched your review! Awesome. I can't wait until it comes out! And wasn't the scene in the beginning just so awesome when the guys like, "some kid owns the company" and he's like, "yeah, that's me!" And then continues to jump! So epic! I thought for sure he was gonna get away there! Had a few good twists in this movie too! Keep up the great reviews, kiddo! ❤🤍💙💛

Good sequel 👌 There are a couple small things I would change, but overall very well done. Its also cool that much of the film was shot in Vancouver BC where I live. Sam and Quorra ride the motorcycle across the lions gate bridge at the end as she see's her first sun rise. Fun fact: lions Gate film studios who have made many well known movies. Such as American Psycho, Hunger games, and John Wick was named after that Bridge in Vancouver.

Tron is my life. I've seen the original at least 100 times....I was so excited...all the hype...FLYNN LIVES websites, promos, ads... But the problem with Tron Legacy is..where is Tron? He doesn't appear until late in the second act, then is barely in it all all. It's almost like False Advertising.

This movie was visually amazing in the theaters. Now when I first watched this I really did not understand the storyline, however after watching it the second time I finally understood it. Also while you wait for the third installment, here are some more suggestions for rations. The Transformers franchise: The original animated movie,Transformers(2007), Revenge of the fallen(2009),Dark of the moon(2011),Age of extinction(2014),The Last Knight(2017),Bumblebee(2018),and Transformers: Rise of the beasts(2023). The Mission Imposable franchise: 1-7.

The entire story of the Tron Legacy is explained in Tron Uprising (animated series) & Tron Evolution (video game). The Uprising showed a thriving grid world in a brink of war. In Evolution it showed how CLU has carried out the mass genocide of the ISO's. After a decade, TRON Ares is coming 2025. This time....programs are coming into our world, exactly what CLU planned for.

The only part of the fx that may take you out of the experience is the de-aging done to Jeff Bridges (Flynn) at the beginning of the movie, but in the case of Clu it makes sense that he looks a bit strange because he's digital. However, in terms of story-telling, the series Tron Uprising is still leagues ahead, with a lot more characters, character development, and world-building.

Gesundheit! Do you sneeze when looking at something really bright? Sometimes I’ll sneeze for five minutes straight! “Photic sneeze reflex is also known, somewhat humorously, as autosomal dominant compelling helio-ophthalmic outburst (ACHOO syndrome). It's a condition characterized by successive sneezing induced by bright light. This is different from a normal sneeze, which is triggered by an infection or an irritant.”

There will be a new Tron movie but it doesn't acknowledge Tron: Legacy even happened. It'll just be a sequel to the first movie. I don't understand why they are doing that. Everyone I know loves Tron: Legacy for its music and story. It's such a good film and a lot of people's favorite movie of all time. Yes, the actors are older. Including Olivia Wilde (Quorra) but there should be a sequel to Legacy. Everyone agrees except Hollywood. Apparently. -OG

I’ve been a Tron nerd since I was six in 1982.. This OG is my favorite film of all time along with Legacy. I was there during the whole Flynn Lives ARG and being at Hall H at SDCC when our voices were recorded for the film. I can’t wait for Tron:Ares which comes out soon. It’s great to see others these days watching Tron today. It’s definitely one of the most eye candy technology ever made! Thanks for watching this film! #FlynnLives As I’m watching, during the Flynn Lives ARG, it was as as hackers that helped give Alan the page, which helped opened the portal. It’s amazing how much the ARG and comics interacted with the film

There is apparently a third movie in the works. Not sure how far along. Sounds like they're still writing and casting and such. But from what I've heard so far...I'm not thrilled. It seems they're bringing back Jeff Bridges yet again. Which, given the end of this movie...makes no fuckin sense...and also kind of cheapens the impact of the ending. Olivia Wilde (Quorra) and Garrett Hedlund (Sam) are also not returning, so that just seems like the third movie is pointless. And I'm always EXTREMELY skeptical of anything at all with Jared Leto in it, now. Tron: Ares just seems...like it's really gonna suck. And I don't say that lightly, because I don't do the quasi-religious fanboy nostalgia delusions, or the racist and misogynist "anti-woke" bullshit. But this third movie just does not sound like it's being handled well given of itself...not just as a successor to the franchise.

Easily one of my favorites movies of all time. Watched Tron as a kid "in its glory" and the wait for a sequel was crazy. Legacy put all my expectations in its dust. The soundtrack (by Daft Punk) is incredible. 1 minor disappointment: I wanted Cillian Murphy's Dillenger to be more involved. And I'm not too hopeful for Tron 3. It's been in and out of development several times since Legacy, and since Disney acquired Lucasfilm and Marvel right around the same time, they saw where the money was and a Tron: Legacy sequel has been all but forgotten since 😭 Long live Tron, who fights for the Users!
